And really, I thought we were all about realism in this game. Real players cannot hear the commentary. HAHA. Joke. But true. Turn it off if it's that bad.
I mentioned this somewhere on the threads in the past few days, but I'm leaning heavily toward turning off all commentary to create an in-the-park experience as opposed to attempting a replication of a t.v. broadcast.

I usually play RTTS with commentary off, to add even more of a first person feel.

That is true, and real players don't hit, pitch, field, and manage all in one.

That's the way I play it most. Even if I find SCEA doing a great job with commentary. Love to feel like I'm in the park......and there is a bunch of subtile ambiance sounds you can't ear when commentary is on.

Well I'm different. RTTS I like feeling like I'm in the game but if I'm just playing a game in franchise mode I want it to be as much like a tv broadcast as possible.

How about another option that will enhance 'on the field' audio when you mute the announcers. SCEA could enhance the 'on the field sounds'. Organ music, crowd interaction, beer man, PA announcer and all the ambiance sounds of a baseball game.

When the player enters the batter box, you could hear subtle sounds of game, the catcher and umpire talking about a previous pitch, the third base coach trying to get your attention, the catcher trying to rattle a rookie at bat etc. The audio sounds would depend on the game situation, you would have countless ways of mixing the audio so it does not sound repetitive or canned.
