    Re: Tiger Stadium

I really wish they would just include these classic stadiums within the game (no platinum for god's sake). I got some with 10 preorder and the dang things don't even work on my new account even in 10 and they do not work offline. It is ridiculous if you ask me and has kept me from buying any DLC for this game.

At least the playing field is still there. I would love to take the mound at Arlington Stadium where greats like Gaylord Perry, Fergie Jenkins, and Nolan Ryan played (along with the great AL pitchers of the 70's thorough 92). You can still do that with Tiger Stadium.

        Re: Tiger Stadium

As someone who's home team plays in the second worst ballpark in baseball (sorry Tampa, you have us "beat" in this category), I can appreciate pretty much any baseball-only park. I've been to Comerica, Old Yankee in '08 and just this past summer caught games at PNC, GAB and Wrigley. No doubt, Wrigley and Old Yankee had a special "feel" to them (tough to quantify) but games at Comerica, GAB and PNC were just as enjoyable, if not more.

I'm sure Oriole Park and AT&T are similar in that they have great modern touches with an old-school charm to them. Truth be told, there's very few "bad" ballparks in baseball but SCEA should find a way to include as many old stadiums in the game as possible, DLC or otherwise.

Matt Genzman clears the infield of weeds.

Owen Rossman, 9, of Harper Woods, pitches on the mound Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the site where Tiger Stadium once stood in Detroit. A group of volunteers has been weeding and mowing the once-lush grass, and cleaning up the field every Sunday for the past three months.

Not that I need another reason to get anxious for baseball season, but I want to get out there on that field soooooooooooooo bad.

As Master Card would say : Buying some weed killer for grass...$10
Some garden tools to manicure the lawn ...$30.00
A pickup game at Tiger Stadium....." Priceless "

They are tied into your PSN account.
If you changed accounts ...that's why they are not working.

What I liked about Tiger stadium was that it had that dark navy blue color and orange seats. Kind of like how old Yankee Stadium had the blue seats. It just kind of fit with the team colors.

What I don't like about Comerica is that off-green they used to paint the seats and entire park. It's always bothered me for some reason. I wish they would take all the green and paint it dark navy blue :-P

Well, I consider myself a traditionalist. That doesn't apply in this case. I have never been to Tiger stadium but I can understand what you are saying. I grew up watching the pathetic Indians of the 70's. That stadium was downright awful. It seemed no matter where you sat, a steel beam was blocking your view. It sat 80k+ people, great for football, but when only 8k attend daily, it looked empty.

The Jake is such an improvement. I have much better memories at the Jake than municipal stadium. Probably because the teams were actually competitive. The only real good memories from the old stadium was that I was young and with my parents.

I am glad that you have your good memories of Tiger Stadium. I would like to see these also in the Show---but NOT Municipal Stadium!

                          Nice thread btw. :-)

Thank You... I know what you are saying about Municipal Stadium , didn't they call that the mistake by the lake ? Apparently it was cold and windy there most times. The Jake is a beautiful ballpark, love that one.
