Point is, once I bumped up starter stamina 1 and subtracted 1 from both manager hook and relief stamina, it seemed like starter's ERA's dropped and guys like Felix, who with default sliders would always be around 218 IP and a 3.90 ERA, became the Felix we know and love.

Don't know if this was a direct cause of messing around with the stamina sliders, but it sure felt like it.
Did adjusting Stamina slider really do such a trick? I'm curious because I'm also tweaking sliders in hope of toning down that "6th inning" issue (i.e., a starter pulled, and a reliever with lower confidence comes in just to get shelled, etc.).

If you are interested in simmed stats, I was crazy enough to record all of them into a spreadsheet for a season last year:

It's for MLB 11, but from what I read it probably hasn't changed much, as a possible bug (RISP batting average is generally lower) that I reported last year still seems to be present this year when you sim games.

Maybe eyeballing this helps to see if the issue described is really present.

        RttS...

Scenario 1. My RttS team (Marlins) go into the bottom of the 8 up 12-1...lose 13-12 after a 12 run inning...... to the Astros.

Scenario 2 My RttS player takes a strike on 3-0 count and the ball hits catcher and bounces out towards the pitcher. Nobody moves or does anything. Game frozen..have to restart

Scenario 3 My RttS player hits a 2R walkoff homerun down the left field line hitting the foul pole on a 2-1 count. Cut scene goes to as if the game is over and him jumping up and down. Next thing that happens, he is back at the plate with a 2-2 count. Ended up hitting into a dp to end the game

Scenario 4 RttS player hits high towering fly ball to right center (near triples alley in San Fran). Ball is going to be over the center fielders head. All of a sudden, he warps into where the ball is and makes the catch..

Scenario 5 RttS player gets offered a 7 year 90 million dollar contract.....after rookie season. I know good young players get offered good contracts to avoid some arb years and maybe a couple of free agent years but nothing like that.

These are just five of the things that I have noticed in my time playing RttS. Note saying it is all bad.
I think it is a terrific game with the great stat overlays in RttS. However, it seems this years iteration of the show is definitely suffering......i haven't even touched on the extremely inconsistent strike zone.

I don't know, but it just seems like the game is much more buggy than it has been in previous years. There's just a lot of weird glitches happening that have never cropped up before, and issues that have cropped up before are even more prevalent now than in the past! Not to mention I think the ball physics has produced it's own fair share of bugs. Hopefully it can all be ironed out in a patch...

Does anyone else think that the left stick is a little too sensitive when pitching.. as far as placing the ball marker where you want it?

hey slthree, i have reduced my solid hits slider and i'm seeing many choppers to my satisfaction, but not bloopers over the infield...what hit variety slider are you referring to? thanks.

                Thats the one, solid hits.

I'll have to pay closer attention to see if I'm getting bloopers, as opposed to just choppers

The more I play I'm beginning to get more disappointed. I'm not seeing a bunch of new hit animations. Rarely do I see shots down the line. I have yet to see 1 bloop single. I need to take a break. I just played 3 Spring Training games, scoring 1 run total. No HR's ans 1 double. I just am tired of trying to make this game be the greatest ever. It might look great but the game play has it's problems.
                    PS3, we had a good run! (7/18/09-10/5/14)

got a weird statline on the drop down info banner.

Omar Infante got a single and it said, 'that was career hit #1267'

Would love for them to include stats for Catchers Caught Stealing %, as well as track the amount of double plays the defense turns (as opposed to just how many we hit into)...

The Red Sox helmet styles need to be unlocked. I saw Youk was wearing a new S100 helmet. I tried to go in to change it, but it was locked on the old style helmet.

What are we going to do about next year and the helmet rule? Are we going to be forced to have all our players wear them, like they are in the minor leagues.
Maybe you could give us the option to play with the new helmets or let us use the old ones if we wish.

Some bad things I have seen today while playing!

                            1. Way too many ground rule doubles!

                            2. To easy to throw runners out at first base from right field!

                            3. I am seeing balls hit off the very top of the outfield walls at different ball parks being called Home Runs!

                            4. Saw a throw from the outfield to Home Plate that went under the catchers glove to the back stop with the pitcher already standing back there backing up the catcher but for some reason he desides to not go after the ball and instead makes the catcher go get it and the picther covers Home Plate trying to tag the runner coming home.

                            5. Also seen an outfielder just give up on a deep fly ball near the outfield wall. The ball landed right in front of the wall.
It would have been caught if the outfielder kept going after the ball.

These are just some of the things off the top of my head that I would love to see fixed inthe near future!!!

On the negative side... it seems like hard hit balls into the corners are singles way too often. I don't remember this being an issue last year. The timing is just off because those wouldn't be singles very often in a real game.

On the positive side... I'm starting to figure out how to hit. I went from Veteran to All-Star this year but I was just way behind on EVERYTHING and couldn't score any runs. I lowered the pitch speed 4 tickets and destroyed the Phillies tonight. Felt great. Now at least I know I can hack it on All-Star... just gotta figure out the best pitch speed for me. The adjustment for pitching didn't seem very difficult at all. I gave up on pulse though, I loved analog last year - don't know why they added another new pitching mode when analog was brand new just a year ago, but I guess options are always nice to have.

This has been a problem in MLB The Show every year since I started playing it in 06. Balls down the line just die once they get to the out field and the outfielder fields the ball waaay before it gets anywhere near the wall. I don't think I have ever seen a ground ball hit down the line reach the outfield wall in this series.

One thing to note though is that I never adjust the sliders. I only use the default sliders so maybe that has a big thing to do with it.
