Ive been seeing a lot of people are loving the "Pulse Pitching". Is this the most realistic way to pitch? Just curious cause so many people seem to love it since you walk some people as well as have success. Some balance it seems.

knight has a better understanding of progression so maybe he can address this better than me, but I can tell you no video game in any sport has a perfect progression system.Yeah, I agree with what you said about pitch velocity. But, as I recall, there was something else that wasn't progressing and I think it was control or stamina. I also think there were some prospects whose velocity was too low to start with. I'd have to dig back into last years game. But the lack of progression after I had invested substantial time into rebuilding my roster from scratch is ultimately why I stopped playing.
I agree with you on speed. It's problematic if you want to build your team around speed. First of all the times are meaningless. Then there's nothing in the scouts notes that really foretell whether a prospect is a speed threat. There can be some variation/improvement but guys should not be entering the league with 55 spd and ending up at 80 spd.
And these are just some of the problems.
I'm glad that everyone likes the new ball physics but I really hope someone gets around to some of these issues which affects the long term playability.
What I can tell you though is if you are a sim franchise guy, which I would say I am, you will be doing your self a disservice not getting this game. It is so much more complete and "whole" compared to last year that its like a whole new mode. I may even go back to 1 player mode this year so I can have the drafts back with out having to pick for the CPU. Only reason I probably won't is I love being able to see other teams lineups and rotations.
I am going to ask for the ability to see them even with single team control for next year.

Cool thanks for the response. I will give that a shot. I want to get the best of the ratings AND see the animations!

No doubt. I love the pulse meter. Never have I ever had to really worry about walking guys... that is now a thing of the past. I have made a rule for me though that the ball cursor must be touching the edge of the zone. However I've seen peoplewithough any "rules" saying they are getting walks too so it's all good

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
I'm asking for good, not perfect. I'm asking for it to not be the reason I stop playing the game.
Thanks for your response. I feel better after hearing your recommendation but I still would like to know more about progression and drafting. If progression is still unfixed and I buy the game, it's on me since I know that I will eventually stop playing the game if it works the same as last year. What I can tell you though is if you are a sim franchise guy, which I would say I am, you will be doing your self a disservice not getting this game. Does anyone know if in RTTS, when you are tearing it up in triple A, then you get called up when you are only 20 years old, and then you sit on the bench half the time. That's really annoying. You'd never see the nationals call up Bryce Harper to sit on the bench, the angles called up Mike Trout, and he played almost every day, same with Anthony Rizzo, Eric Hosmer, Mike Moustakas, and EVERY other prospect, no one gets called up to sit on the bench.NFL : Atlanta Falcons

Is there a way to export stats into another format like HTML reports? If not, are stats in white background like last year? White background helps if you want to OCR images.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Since I saw someone mentioned Vernon Wells finally got his stance fixed.. Any chance someone can post it? Too bad they had to wait to fix his stance when he's no longer a Jay.
And Bautista needs to be a bit more crouched on the knees, saw in a video, stance is same as last years. That's too bad.. but no complaints here as I've seen lots of new or updated stances/motions so I'm happy about that.Comment
