In RTTS, if you're a catcher do you have to call every pitch or can you just play the plays that only involve the catcher? Ex.) Bunts, Steals, Pop-Ups

Yeah I noticed players retiring mid contract too. I was sure there was logic in place preventing that.

Not sure if this would be the place to do it but can anyone post a photo of Jesus Montero in the picture thread? One where his face is pretty visible.

Has the movement of pitches been modified at all? I thought in the past that the 2-seamer, sinker, cutter, and splitter didn't have enough movement to them. They seemed sort of flat when viewing them from the batters point of view. Have they been modified at all or has the new camera angle given them a different look so to speak? I just never thought guys like Lowe, Halladay, Carmona, Fister, etc. had a true representation of movement on their fastballs in the past. Thanks in advance.

Not this again.. That's one of the reason why some of us would sign players that were still B rated to long contracts, to prevent them from retiring. Considering in last years game many B rated players retired at 35 or 36, so it encouraged some users to sign them for longer just to keep one of their good players from retiring too early. Also, I encountered some examples of injures forcing players to retire just because we forgot to take them off the DL when the season ended. I created Matt Den Dekker for the mets and he was a B potential and I was going into the 2015 offseason and he was still on the DL, so then when I viewed retired players he retired because of the injury, he only had two weeks left.. So I lost him and all the hard work I put in to creating him.. I was going to make him a Bench player slash backup outfielder for the time being.. I was disappointed when he retired. I hope that little miscue was fixed this year.

Now that some of you have played a few dozen games by now, how are the default sliders? What are the necessary slider adjustments for this year? I played on HOF last year with several slider adjustments.

My pitch speed slider last year was 2 notches below default - will I need to make the same adjustment this year?

I used catcher 9 camera angle last year, as it really helped reduce my strikeouts. What is the default camera angle like this year? What would you recommend to use as a camera angle for hitting this year?

There are stores that just sell the game early. Don't believe those stores keep track of when games get sold, so doesn't matter to people selling it.

People say that independent stores are more likely to sell them early, but I know of one independent game store that keeps a log of every single sale they make, so I doubt they'd sell it early. Either way, I'm not passing by it until tuesday, so I won't know anyways if they'll sell MLB early or not.

Not just franchise players, they also affect RTTS. Sort fo sucks when half the league retired early when you make the bigs.

                          For guys with Vita impressions...

I see the Advanced Fast Play mode is very fast, but I'm wondering if there is any way to slow down the game a bit. On PS3, there is a gameplay option for Pitcher (or Pitch) Delay, which you can set to fast, normal, or slow I believe to insert a varying amount of inactivity between pitches. Is that option in the Vita version at all?

Umm getting carried away...retirements are fine with the age they retire. They retire between 36-42 or so, which is right on par with MLB...trust me we looked it up. Look and see how many players 35 and older are on 40 man rosters. What I said is I am surprised they are retiring with time left on the contract. Its usually only a year.

Reason I say surprise is it didn't happen at CD so must have had something happen. I am sure if there is a patch it can be fixed.

Franchise mode is so much better this year there is no Huge problems. Some trade logic tweaking maybe as well as draft tweaking and I think perfect.

Edit: also not everyone retires with time left I've only seen a few players.
