Dang, Game 2 against Detroit I'm up 4-2 (4 solo HRs) in the 9th and Chris Perez gives up the eventual game winning Grand Slam ....back to .5 games back in the Central with the rubber game comin up...I cant stand Chris Perez. He's leading the league in saves but hes soooo dang inconsistent and gives up a TON of hits + walks...almost thinking about going with Pestano or Joe Smith as my closer for the rest of the year, I cant afford these blown saves in this divisional race.

Just finished up a huge 3 game series with Detroit. Lost the first game and won the 2nd on a GW HR by Hafner in the top of the 12th. The rubber game was a great one. Kipnis and Cabrera both had solo HRs in the 1st followed by a solo HR by Hafner in the 2nd. Detroit answered and it was 4-3 as Livan Hernandez settled down for the rest of the game. Fielder tied the game in the bottom of the 8th on a double. To the 9th with 2 outs, Ezequiel hit a single. First pitch a decide to hit and run....BOOM! 2 run HR by Sizemore and C Perez gets the save! Im now up .5 game for the first time all year I believe!.

I saved Grady's HR Ill post a video of it later

Also, Fausto Carmona has got his international problems resolved and finally is back with the club. The Indians plan to use him in the bullpen for now. (I decided to use him, likely he'll be back this year and im alread in August so what the hell. lol)

I'll do a real franchise with the mets once the opening day OSFM rosters are out, and will do a fantasy draft a bit later today.

Started a Twins chise the other day. Can't hit real well but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Lost opening day vs. Baltimore 5-3. Only runs I scored were on a 3-run homerun by Revere in the 7th to tie the game. I did get 9 hits though.

Playing an Angels MOM franchise. Some games on PS3 and some games on Vita.

Off to a 6-3 start, but just lost two out of three on the road vs. the Yankees.

Lost Peter Bourjos for 1-2 months with a torn calf muscle. So the Mike Trout era begins a little early.

Here is Trout robbing Andruw Jones of a home run.

                      Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Just finished sweeping the Phillies in our first series against them in August in my Braves chise. After the sweep we pulled to within a game of the division leading Nats. Which is amazing since when I played my last game in May we were in 5th about 10.5 back now we're pushing to take that division lead. Not to mention before we swept the Phils in Philly they were a .500 team but not anymore.

My three biggest things to keep going has been a surprise power output from Mccann. He's got 26 now in the second week of August.
Also nice output from Chipper in the 6 hole .297(2nd team) 16hr(3rd team) 55rbi(2nd team), And just outstanding starting pitching, the offense early on let them down on some wins but of my five starters no one has missed a start, the highest ERA is like 3.40 or so and Hanson has a 2.21 ERA. Hoping we can keep this push going into the playoffs, will post stats later if anyones curious.

Oh yeah Bourn a steal machine just over a .200 avg with just 1 hr but is second in the NL with 34 steals. (Damn Dee Gordon lol)

If it isn't past the trade deadline, you should deal for another closer and bumping Perez to a Setup role to see if you pitch better with him there.

can't be going with unproven guys to close in a playoff race....the amount of saves he gets is not worth the headache he presents...and u gotta know eventually those hits+walks will turn into runs...just a matter of when...Do yourself a favor and acquire an established closer from a losing team....u'll be thankful u did in the long run

Started a Yankee's Franchise. Went 6-2 before I dropped 4 in a row. So far my hitting hasnt been that consistent other than the DH Duo of Ibanez and Andrew Jones. Hoping the season gets better. Oh another highlight is Rivera 5 for 5 in saves so far.

Started out 2-0 on my giants chise and now have lost 3 straight! Bats have gone cold . Starting my home opener against the pirates hoping I can turn things around.

Won the second game of the season with the Twins 7-6. Was up 7-1 but my shaky bullpen choked. Capps did get his first save though.

Any suggestions on some good bullpen pitchers to trade for??
