    Mission accomplished

I keep having moments where I go back and forth. For example, I just played an exhibition game of Giants vs. Padres. Everything at Petco looked great and I kept thinking, wow, this is sooooo cool.

But before that I played Yankees at Devil Rays. Everything in that game felt "ugh". The graphics, stadium, lighting, size of ball, distance from pitcher to batter, etc. all of it felt "off" and I really couldn't put my finger on it.

In between my grading I will no doubt sneak a game or two in today. Plus, it is cool having a game "on" beside me while I work. Again, the commentary is pretty complete so it is nice to have what would normally sound like the PS3 version sitting beside me as a handheld.

I will be taking the Vita with me to work tomorrow. Playing during breaks, lunch, etc. should put it over the top. And then comes midnight...

I think I know why it looks so bad sometimes. My theory is: the farther away the elements (players, crowd, etc) are, the more pixels you notice. The closer things are, the better they look. As an example, these two pictures I took. One is using broadcast camera, the other one is using "pitcher full". Notice how Chris Carpenter looks close to that infamous Bartolo Colon shot. However, the "pitcher full" camera shows that the edges are less rough and even the crowd looks better.

I noticed at first, while playing at Yankee Stadium; the crowd in center from the catcher camera is really distracting, as it almost looks like a white curtain of pixels. The game, however, is amazing and I find myself playing 3-inning games when I have time

This exactly what it is. I figured this out yesterday when the other thread was in an uproar

There is pixelation of the crowd on the PS3 version when using broadcast as well. It is scaling and the net that makes the difference.

When you do a custom cam on the PS3 and zoom in a little more, it goes away.

Same can be said of any game on any system? Can't make excuses for this game, sometimes it looks as rough as toast!!!

I also find that day games look significantly better than night games / overcast games... The lighting REALLY adds depth / realism- and I'm finding myself playing more day games because of it.

For me the night games still somewhat look like day games.

After 2 days I'm still enjoying it as much as on day 1. It seems the hitting is tougher for me on the Vita than the PS3. Gonna be patient and try and get better because when I start my franchise I won't to be fairly equal in skill level on both system.

It was for me as well, until I did a couple of things... Your mileage may vary:
I brought pitch speed down one point.
I changed the batting view to catcher classic.
I upped contact 2 points, power 2 points and timing 1 point.

But what are you comparing it to? If you are comparison it to the PS3 that's silly. The PS3 has a full size GPU.

                      True.

But there's a soccer (football) game out there (don't wanna name any names) that's practically the console version on the PS Vita.

And I heard it has all the presentations and nuts & bolts from the console version.

The players in Fifa also look like little ants on the screen.

Been using Pitcher(Full) and it has helped bigtime on Pulse Pitching. What are some of the camera settings are some of you all using?

The camera angles are far back.

Yes. Which is why the graphics look better to you.
