You've actually got to go through your PS3's PSN screen to activate it (the instructions are better detailed on the card with the code on it).

That said, I've activated and downloaded the add-on through my PS3, but I'm still getting the same "You Need to Activate Your Code" message on my Vita whenever I try to upload my file to the cloud.

    Anyone else having that problem?

I've only played the game in very short bursts, but the worry over graphics is unfounded. I'm a graphics whore and I think the game looks great. Much better than the psp versions. And it doesn't stutter or run choppily.

It doesn't say anything about the PS3 on the card with the code. Also- what would that mean for users without a PS3... They really should have had this all sorted out prior to release.

Picked up the game this morning. Played a few innings of exebhition and a opening day season mode game. I won't go into my feeling on presensention, my point has not changed on that. The graphics were good, nowhere the disaster that some had implied. The announcers did mention that was opening day, which they did have some type of set up to the game, which was nice. Play this game with headphones ! Size of the ball was fine to me. As others have mentioned everything that you would expect to find otherwise in the ps3 version seems to be there.Overall I am mostly happy with this effort this year and hope that we continue to see improvement with the vita version in years to come.

The gameplay, sounds and physics are the same.

Play the Vita with a good pair of headphones, wow does it sound amazing! So much better than the speakers.
I was thinking pretty much that same thing. The really challenge is how "crisp" the PS3 version plays whereas it kindof feels like hitting a beach ball in the Vita version. I am okay graphically with the size of the ball but wish the feeling of "raking" something was the same.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Vita Impressions Thread

Loved playing The Show over lunch on the Vita, Braves vs Mets, that was awesome. I'm going to have to read the instructions to see what some of the controls are though. I tried to lead off and my player stole second, not sure what the right way to lead off is now that there is only one L shoulder button and no trigger. Also couldn't figure out how to show the API a second time during pitch selection, didn't that used to be R2, which isn't there anymore.

I thought the graphics looked great on the little screen. Didn't really have a problem hitting or adjusting to pitches. The hardest thing was the left analog. It's always been in a bad position for me on the Sony consoles, but now with it even smaller it was pretty tough for me to get accurate, especially lining my pitch up.

Wasn't a big fan of Pulse Pitching on the Vita the first time through, will have to see if it is any better on the PS3. Meter pitch is still awesome, timing of that on the Vita was perfect.

The lack of cutscenes and celebration was a big bummer though. The I won on a walk-off 3-run HR by Jason Heyward and didn't get to see any of it, not even a replay from the main menu. At least during the game you can cue up an instant replay, but you are out of luck on the final play of the game. I didn't really miss the stuff during the game because I usually skip that stuff anyway, but having nothing at the end was pretty sad.

The game still took me an hour to complete, well probably about 50 minutes. That was a 9 inning game. There was a good bit of offense in the game, I trailed 3-0 early, cut it to 3-2 on a Freeman HR, Mets extended to 4-2, then I won with a walkoff by Heyward 6-4.

I don't want anyone to think these are negative impressions, because the game is still super fun to play. And now on the go is great.

Picked the game up during lunch. Anticipating this since first announced.

I'm not a graphics person but I think these are perfect! Didn't get to play much but I got in a little BP at ATT and wow. I'm stunned so far. I also set my settings and didn't see any of the ones I like personally removed.

I will ned to lower pitch speed a little as I couldn't catch up to anything.

Also I was a little concerned about the buttons not being pressure sensitve and check swings but I had little problem check swinging at all. Whew.

Can't wait to get my headphones and really dig into a game!

Picked it up and played on my lunch break, I enjoyed it. It's much smoother than the psp versions if that makes any sense. I can't wait to try out the big boy ps3 version soon.

tap the right stick left to lead off. L queues up a steal, this threw me off a little too at first, then I paused and looked at the controls, although i did switch my batting controls to Zone hitting.

You definitely need to see this game on the Vita screen, because the screenshots don't do the game justice.

I agree on the pitch speed; in the 2 innings I got to play, I couldn't hit anything.

Game looks great and I will definitely be playing a few games tonight.

I turned my pitch speed all the way down, but I might have adjusted anyway if I wasn't so quick on making that change. I was being 1-hit through the 5th inning by Mike Pelfrey, but then 7th inning on I was getting some good swings in. It really isn't fair for me to judge much of the game on one game in the front seat of my car, lol

Well just finished my first game. Rockies(me) vs Baltimore. I love the ball physics although I did not get to see to many of them since I was no hit. Very embarrassing way to start. Finally got the hang of pulse pitching at the end of the game but struggled batting. Would've been a perfect game but was hit by one pitch. So far so good.

FYI. There was no presentation for no hitter but was mentioned every out from 7th inning on.
