Will be 56 on Monday the 12th. Grew up watching Mantle and Maris in NY. Saw all the guys in the 60's...Mays, Aaron, Cepeda, McCovey, Seaver, etc. I am so old, I was chasing skirts when the Mets won the 69 series!!
It's in the blood. You guys will be playing MLB 2032 Hologram Baseball when it's time for my dirt nap.

Sierra FBPro 94 got me going into gaming. Was a mvp pc player with all the mods and classic teams, did some game modding (sucked alot of time out of my life), last year got a ps3 with some bday money and kind of felt guilty as an seasoned guy going out and getting a ps3 for MLB the show. Took it back a day or two later then returned to rebuy it. Got the show 11 and my jaw dropped when the game opened up and the visuals popped off the screen. Had the game on the other night and my wife did a double take and asked "is that a real game?" My daughter is always totally amazed at the game and gets a kick out of the animations when you see players goofing around during a game play break. Will probably check out the ps3 move system and a workout game Lights Out - boxing which has some good reviews for a move game/sim at Amazon.Comment

Re: How old are you, MLB the Show fan?
I am 46 myself. The first baseball video game I owned was Intellivision Baseball, which was a classic. Then I very much got into baseball board games like Statis-Pro Baseball, Stra-o-Matic Baseball, APBA Baseball, Pursue the Pennant. A couple friends and I would have leagues and every few days I would tally all the statistics and figure out league leaders, etc. I loved Microleague Baseball on the Commodore 64. Then onto Colecovision, Sega, XBox and so on...so many baseball games over the years. It's amazing how far things have come and how good MLB The Show is. It's so much fun to be GM, Manager and player too...the statistical accuracy along with the graphics, just great stuff. So happy also that SCEA doesn't rest on their laurels and continues to improve the game.

Let me just say that I think it's totally awesome that there are at least 4 people 65+ on this board.
And for those that are 65+ plus I'll add, I think it's totally awesome that there are at least 4 people 65+ on this board. (See what I did there? I repeated the statement in case they just forgot what they read.)
I'm 36 and feel like an old-timer myself on here. Yes, been playing baseball games since I could close my eyes and bat on the original Atari baseball game just by listening for the little sound it made when the AI pitcher released the pitch. It sure was nice when baseball games starting keeping good stats so I didn't have to continue keeping books as I played! Yes, I'm a baseball nerd!Comment

Re: How old are you, MLB the Show fan?
I've circled the sun 28 times in my life ... I still have an SNES with Ken Griffey Jr. baseball hiding somewhere. Nothing takes me to my childhood like that game. The thought of blowing the dust out of the cartridge still brings chills up my spine. It's a lost art you know...cartridge dust removal.Comment

37 here. Baseball Stars was my first "baseball" game, back when I thought robbed homeruns were "saves".

40 here.
And since we are all being so honest with our ages here I thought that I would ask another question. If you create yourself in the game, what age do you make yourself?Comment

26. I've been playing baseball games since the NES, but it was Ken Griffey Jr Presents for the SNES that got me hooked on video games. Holy crap did I play that game a lot."I just want my kids back!" - Tom JaneComment
