OK, it may be just me and I've run into good pitching lately, but...

Since the patch, every pitcher I have faced has been painting the corners with absurd regularity. First pitches, especially, are almost always perfect. I'm in AAA and every pitcher is Cole Hammels. I was raking before the patch, now I can't buy a pitch to hit.

the logic in RTTS is shocking..

long story short, i made a lefty closer, drafted by the mets and he got promoted to AAA after only 7 innings, barely a month into his career. he was nowhere near ready to get called up, now he has a 15+ ERA and his whip is out of this world. the bad thing is they're keeping my guy in AAA and threatening to send me down when they should have just kept me in AA. makes no sense.

The 'advancement goals' are not only lame but ********! One month into my career in the minors and I lead the league in batting avg, RBI's, hits, and 2nd in HR and one of my newest goal is to get 2 BB's. WTF?! You are going to tell your #1 batter to work on getting walks... want me to hit it out of the park? Or hit a double? No a walk... got it!

I find myself striking out more since I'm focusing on BB's now.

I normally just ignore the BB goals. If it happens, it happens, but if not 3/4 on your Advancement Goals is normally good enough.

Some people tend to blame goals a little too much.

i never have problems making them

whats up guys I just started a RTTS as closer..I got drafted by the Tigers and was sent to AA Erie to play with the Seawolves. As of now, our team is 19-8 and leading the division...as for me I just went down with some elbow tightness and miss 4 days which resulted in me being replaced as the closer for the time being, I guess until I can prove that I am healthy again!!! So far my stats look like this...10 Games Played, 0-0, 1.04 ERA, 9 saves, 1 hold, 8.2 innings pitched, 7 hits, 2 runs (only 1 earned), 2 walks, 5 strikeouts. Throwing about 91-93 right now have 4 seam, changeup, and slider as my pitches...Hopefully I will get my closing job back and prove that I am healthy and make a quick trip through the minors so I can get to Detroit and close games for Verlander!!

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

i have 6 RTTS's right now, 5 are currently with their MLB team.. the only one that isn't, is in AAA... they are a submarine knuckleballer. i only have 1 position player, a RF with the rangers.

needless to say i'm looking for a challenge. i think i'm gonna make another starter for a bad team... astros, twins maybe.. i dunno what it is, i just like grinding out the minors until my player gets to the majors then i just get kinda bored. like there's no more challenge after that. once you establish yourself in the majors the only thing you can do is win world series and chase records.

when you're in the minors, getting to the majors is what it's all about. once i get there, it's like it's nothing special. guess i'm just gonna take it real slow this time.

Late in 2016 for my SP in Miami.. Another great season.. But what I don't get about advancement goals is why it wants me to hit 8 home runs in 3 weeks.. In the whole season I have 13 but 8 in 3 weeks? Ugh

And.. Im throwing a perfect game, would've been second perfect game of season and career and 3rd no no.. I threw a perfect game a few weeks earlier in season against Atlanta at Turner Field.. Well it's late August and I'm doing it again, and ironically against Atlanta at Turner Field.. I get to the 9th.. Get first out.. Get 2nd out.. Get strike 1 on 3rd batter (a pinch hitter with a .000 Avg).. Next pitch a fastball away out of the zone.. And what do you know.. I slow grounder right up the middle past the second basemen Jemile Weeks.. ugh.. So close.. Still got the W after next guy flies out..

                      Season numbers-
                      30-0 (1.44 ERA/ 314 Strikeouts/ 10 BB) only 1 no decision, opponent Avg. .144.. And 1 perfect game

                      My Hitting Numbers-
                      Avg. 324/ HR 13/ RBI 32/ 6 Stolen bases/ 1 Grandslam

I'm on the Marlins and we are in first with a about 15 games left and a 12 game lead over Philadelphia.. Looking for 3rd straight WS.. We are 2nd in NL behind Cincinnati..

I've got a problem in my Road to the Show on 11...i made the stupid mistake to sign for 10 years in my firs offseason...with a salary of a rookie 400k....and i really want to change teams...i don't wanna play 10 years for the exact same team...
So my question is can i make something in order to change teams?....An interaction with the manager...a request...or is my team gonna offer me a new contract if I get better?...
I will be able to wait for a trade but i don't think that my team will trade the best player that has minimun cap space...I am already into my 4th season with the Toronto Blue Jays...please help me with some advices...thanks

I get the 1st out and then.. I get f'n injured!! Wtf!! Who in his right mind would leave game up 7-0 when you have a perfecto in the WS Game 7.. Unbelievable.. Once in a career opp.. Gone.. Bs!!

That happens when you have players in the depth chart and at your position rated higher than you. The Yankees had me start the 2014 season on the MLB squad, but I was the sixth-best outfielder in the organization behind Curtis Granderson, Brett Gardner, Nick Swisher, Kosuke Fukudome, and Domonic Brown. I didn't get any playing time and ended up getting sent down to AAA for about six weeks, then was called back up to sit on the bench and waste my rookie season (Same thing happened to me in MLB 11' The Show, when the White Sox kept calling me up to waste away at the bench until I became the third best outfielder and the best right fielder in the system.

In 2015 I again started off on the bench because my overall was a bit lower than Domonic Brown (yet I was the fourth best outfielder at the time because Swisher left and Fukudome retired) and rarely had any playing time for the first month until Brown suffered a season-ending injury. I haven't looked back since.
