Should I just sim a few seasons ahead or what?

My guy is 20(I think maybe 21?) and of course I'm gonna be on the same team until he's like 25-26(or at least until I get traded), so don't know if I should just sim until 25-26 when I can finally sign on a team I want to be on.

I really don't see myself playing my guys RTTS for much longer. I think by time september comes around and then things like NHL,Madden are out,and MLB season is coming to an end, I'll slowly stop playing MLB less and less.

Three weeks into the season and I'm batting .220, after going 1-6 (first AB was a solo HR) with 1 rbi and 1 run. I was batting around .247 after the HR.

Next game, after going 0-4, at the bottom of the 11th with the score even at nill, I come to the plate with two on at 1st and 2nd and with the count 1-2, BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE -- 3 RUN SHOT! Walk-off HR! I've now homered in two consecutive games, hot streak?

All good things must come to an end and that goes for hit streaks too..
62 games is the new record. Funny thing is I broke the record against the Yankees and my streak ended against the Yankees and a Yankee held the previous record.

Now I think I'm gonna go for the Triple Crown (leading 2 out of 3 catagories as of May22nd). At this point I have 20 homers, which is on pace to become the new single season homer king as well.

Took 5 seasons, but my guy finally got traded. Surprised I didn't get traded 1 time before that, maybe SCEA fixed the trade stuff?

But either way....the best player in the history of baseball got traded for.....Austin Jackson. lol!

Signed a 1 year deal with the Tigers cause I know that after this season is done, I'm leaving and going to Toronto!

My durability is a 99 and I still don't start everyday, which is fine by me considering the 2017 Yankees outfield consists of my player, Yoenis Cespedes, Jason Heyward, Brett Gardner, and Josh Reddick.

I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones with RTTS. Not once did the Yankees even attempt to trade me along with actually making some moves to improve the team.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to draw walks. Or at least better discern what is a ball and what is a strike. I have a much harder time in RTTS than any other mode. Other than that I'm killing it right now and am on pace to beat the single season HR record and might come very close to the single season RBI record.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

I am now in the 2020 season with my Cardinals 1B. We ended up beating the Rangers in 7 in the World Series lol, i signed a five year $86 million extension with the Redbirds in the offseason. Then after the All-Star break of 2019 your home run derby champ suffered from shoulder separation and missed 3 months. So all my stats that were 99 dropped to 95 and my durability went down into the 70's. I came back for the second half of September, but even with a 101-61 we went down to the Phillies in the NLCS in 7 games after holding a 2-0 lead. I am about the start the season, I just noticed that we got Matt Kemp in the offseason so that will help give us some extra offensive firepower for sure

After 24 games, I'm now batting .243 with 12 rbi's and 3 homers (all in the first month -- I had 3 all of my first season.)

I had to put control, strike freq at zero just to get some walks. My RF RTTS guy gets pitched around all the time, as he's maxed in power. My CF with 40 power, they just come right at him, on the same sliders. Insane. My leadoff guy has 4 walks the 1st month, my power hitting RF has 12 the 1st month.

It's now the second week in May and I've extended my hit streak to 11 games, while hitting .301, 4HR, 18RBI, .505SLG% and 1.000 field %. I've gotten my groove back and I really hope I get the call up this season. If I make it to the futures game this season, I'm gonna ball!

Edit: I just realized I have Bryce Harper and Roger Bernadina in the majors ahead of me; Corey Brown and Edgar Lopez (created player?) in AAA ahead of me...sigh, I hope I'm traded again...

Anybody else have problems getting run support for their rtts SP. I'm averaging 1.5-2 runs /9 in run support. I am currently 2-8 with a 2.85ERA. Granted, I am the teams Ace and always go against the other teams Ace but it seems like I have to throw a shutout just to stand a chance to get the no decision. It probably has more to due with me being on the White Sox than anything else.

Yeah, I've played for some pretty awful offensive teams. I've lost 15 games in a season before with an ERA below 3.50. It sucks, but eventually you'll earn the right to sign with whoever you want. I eventually signed with one of the top offensive teams in the league (Tigers) and won the Cy Young Award my first year there.
