wow, i can't believe so many people use timing. back in the day before analog, i used to use timing and it's so easy to get 15-20 hits a game and score a bunch of runs. it doesn't ever require that much skill to press the x button when the ball is in the strike zone and at the right time. don't know how anyone could get satisfaction from playing that way

okay i found my swing. i decided on zone and analog. wow, so rewarding. i really felt like i hit that homerun.

Maybe because some of us adjust the sliders to make it more difficult?

its actually quite the opposite...

you see, timing is the most realistic option.

once you master analog, you can hit bombs with anyone, anytime. i dont want to be able to center the pci everytime, just because im good at moving an analog stick.

with timing, you can never game the system -- it is based on STATS and RANKINGS. so it is going to give me the variable results i want.

That's not true at all, clearly you haven't actually tried the other modes. I'm not denying timing is the most realistic, but you will never dominate with the user-input modes, ever. This is baseball. No amount of practice will make you a "master" at swinging at 95 mph fastballs.

Timing is easier for me, but ever since the NHL series introduced the skill stick, I just can't use anything except for analog.

I never realized so many players used timing only. I swallowed my pride this year and have been trying it out. It's more fun than I thought and allows me to focus more on balls/strikes.

Yeah, good point Bear. Timing seems to be the quiet majority.

Pure analog for me, when you have a crushing HR it is so rewarding and feels so smooth. I also find it easier to check swing and lay off pitches. Although I'll occasionally use timing on a harder difficulty

Zone with PCI on. Been a cursor-based guy since way back, All-Star Baseball I think.

Zone+ analog was intriguing, but can't split my reflexes quickly enough to react and do anything with it. Seems to be for the ambidextrous, at least to me.

I played a few rounds of this week's Challenge of the Week and actually enjoyed using Zone, although I'm not a fan of the Yellow blob.

I may make the switch to Zone from Timing for a few games and see how I do.

Timing for me, analog is a bit too much for me. I don't like the whole stride idea. I like focusing on balls and strikes and earning bases.
