What's up guys. I've been itching to get involved in this thread for a few months. Finally got the CPU offering each other trades in my franchise, so I really need yall advice/help.

Okay here is the first CPU to CPU proposal...

Date - May 10th, 2012

Blue Jays (17-14 - First Place. They signed RP - Mike Gonzalez from free agency 2 days ago, so it looks like they are trying to get rid of Darren Oliver and a struggling JP Arencibia. They are asking for some of the Twins young prospects. Details below.)

Blue Jays send:

RP - Darren Oliver (41 Y/O - B Overall - A Potential) (12 GM/13.1 IP/18 SO/6 BB/2.03 ERA/.250 AVG)

C - J.P Arencibia (26 Y/O - C Overall - A Potential) (.181/.218/.266/ 2 HR/9 RBI in 27 Games)

Twins (16-15 - 2nd place - 2.5 GB. Twins have a 4.00 Bullpen ERA and might be looking to improve their young bullpen. Including JP Arencibia into the package means he will be Joe Mauer backup which seems like a better option that the current catcher Drew Butera who is a D overall with C potential)

Twins send:

3B Miguel Sano (18 Y/O in AA ball - D Overall - A Potential (.302/.382/.437/ 3 HR / 14 RBI in 26 Games)

RP Carlos Gutierrez (25 Y/O in AAA ball - C Overall - B Potential) (12 GM/9.2 IP /6 SO / 4 BB / 5.59 ERA / .257 AVG)

What do you guys think? Is this a fair trade?

I created my own trade chart that assigns different point values, at different age windows, for pitchers and position players. Based off the age and potential of each player involved, the Blue Jays are giving up 15.5 pts of potential to the Twins in return for 14 points of potential. Based on my chart...that's about as fair a trade as you can get. I only look at trades based on the point values, I try not to let the names involved skew my view of if it is fair or not. Some may say it's not fair based off of the names involved, but, it looks good to me.

for what it's worth, i def wouldnt give Dragic 10M per year either......but getting back on topic, u'd never make it as a GM for the Blue Jays lol

That, the Twins have Joe Mauer at catcher, Darren Oliver would be over 40 on a rebuilding team, etc.

Sano also would have to be converted 1B with Lawrie holding the fort down at 3rd

I could've sworn he was being converted to 1st because the Twins thought he was 'too fat' or some BS...
