Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The others would be fair game though? This is tougher than I thought because like I said earlier most of the division leads are in double figures (which is kind of weird). Then many of the teams "in contention" have pitching staffs that wouldn't realistically want Wandy (like the rays for instance.. for contract reasons and their pitching staff is doing very well). Then I really don't think the Astros would trade him within their own division (or am I wrong here) so that eliminates another group.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Alright so I've got some new options now that I am also looking within the NL Central. The Brewers are playing lights out (70-29) with a team ERA of 2.65... so moving on. The Reds and Cards are separated by 1 game and currently are #1 and #2 in the wild card.
Any of these players attainable in a trade for Wandy? They are all B potential. I am looking for the 2 B's for Wandy type of trade (he is pitching about as well as one can hope for). The Reds didn't have many guys I was interested in that were 'B' potential, so here is a list from the Cardinals.
Eduardo Sanchez CP - 23 years old
Jordan Swagerty CP - 22 years old
Stephen Piscotty 3B - 22 years old
Zack Cox 3B - 23 years old
C.J. McElroy CF - 18 years old
Charlie Tilson CF - 19 years oldLast edited by IK720; 07-15-2012, 09:43 PM.Comment

I'd go with Cox, as they have Freese at 3B.
I'd then be picking between Swagerty and Tilson. Swagerty has literally the best name ever for a closer, and they have Sanchez, too. Tilson, I picked in the rule 5 draft once. He stole 40 bases off the bench."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Thanks NFG and AC. Sorry it took me about 10 posts to determine what to go after lol, but in the end I sent Wandy for Sanchez and McElroy. McElroy and Tillman were both selected last year, but McElroy was selected outside the top 100 so I was okay with it (Tilman was their 2nd pick).
Thanks again!Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys. Could use some help here.
I'm in a offline franchise with 3 friends. We are the NL East (except WSH) and I am controlling the Mets. We're about to hit July 2012 and I am 5.5 back of WSH.
Seeing as I'm a Cubs fan and don't really keep up with New York, any ideas on what the Mets would need to upgrade? Right now Ike Davis is carrying the load (leads in AVG, HR, and RBI!) but I could use some help to get to October.
I'm thinkin J. Upton?Comment
