Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What would a poorly performing Tim Hudson cost? He's 4-8 with a 5.40 ERA. 2 C's?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Seriously...if I was the Tigers GM, I'd decline that trade so fast its not even funny. Laird is the backup catcher, and Below is a valued member of the bullpen. Why would we deal them away for another DH. We have too many of those as is. Hell, Delmon Young is basically a DH anyways, have you seen him play left field? By god, I think RauLOL Ibanez is better than him out there.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'll give you Laird...but Below is an important member of the pen, and has proven to be an asset for JL this season.
Either way, I wouldn't want Big Papi on my team. Even if I got him for a steal of a trade. I don't know the contract he signed in the OPs franchise, but paying him a ridiculous contract doesn't sound appealing at all...especially with V-Mart on the books still.
The trade wouldn't happen, neither side would propose nor accept this trade. So that deems it unrealistic no?Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

That's fair, I think we agree on this trade, even if its for slightly different reasons. But regardless...its not a good fit.
I honestly don't know too many places where Papi would be a good fit. The usual suspect contenders all are pretty set on DH, except Tampa that is.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Alright guys, CPU trade analysis time.
In my Astros Franchise there's been an interesting offer I noticed while patrolling the transactions under my 30 team control.
The Phillies, who are 10.5 games out of first place in the middle of June have decided to offer the CPU Tigers Cole Hamels. Detroit, is leading the division by .5 games over Chicago and after JV/Drew Smyly...the whole Tigers staff has been awful. Fister has an ERA over 5, Porcello is at a 6.00 ERA, and Scherzer has a mid 4 ERA.
Hamels, is 5-7 with a mid 2 ERA and is 3rd in the NL in innings pitched and leading it in punchouts right now. And I think this would be something Detroit may consider digging deeper into. However, I need some help hammering this thing out.
The initial package looks like this:
PHI- SP Cole Hamels (5-7, 2.55 ERA)
DET- SP Jacob Turner (4-7, 2.91 ERA, A Pot) AAA ball
3B Nick Castellanos (.286, 1HR, 19 RBI, A Pot) AA ball
1B Aaron Westlake (no stats, B Pot) A ball
Thoughts? I mean the Phils aren't going to be winning anything this year and I can understand their reasoning behind this, but at the same time...the Tigers would be giving up their 1 and 2 rated prospects for Hamels, plus another decent prospect in Westlake. What do you guys think? Should I allow this trade to go through? If not, is there any package you think would work? Or am I just crazy and I should veto it and forget this ever happened lol?Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Typically its like Gwynn Jr. for Turner straight up, or the one that made me laugh super hard...Jeff Mathis for Miguel Sano and Byron BuxonCheck out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

That's why I brought it here...typically, I just veto these CPU crapshoots and move on. But it looked pretty even and like a deal that could actually happen.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
That's literally not even a joke. I know about that running debate between you two, but this is a legit offer from the CPU that came up a couple of days ago.
EDIT: but regardless, onto the matter at hand. What do I do about this trade? Do I allow Detroit to pull the trigger?Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Yeah, I'd go through with it. Anyone have a problem with it?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
