Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am the Royals and it is now June. I traded for David Price earlier in the year. But now Price isn't pitching so well and its going to cost me about half of my available payroll space to keep him and I need that money elsewhere. I was thinking about Gio Gonzalez in just a one for one swap. I would was just curious as to what other people think.
I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

I'm the royals looking to bring an ace or a 2 guy on a team to be my ace. I know we have loads of young pitching, but I need that guy at the top. Who is the most likely to be traded? And for what? I mean anyone from Ervin Santana to Chad Billingsley... Or betterProud fan of:

Your best bet is to deal Butler and maybe a pitching prospect for an ace and a bat that can maybe fill Butler's spot but Clint Robinson does that pretty well if you want to look internally.

Luke Hochevar, Johnathan Sanchez, Billy Butler and I suppose Hosmer (I would NEVER get rid of him for even Roy Halladay) can all be traded for like an Edwin Jackson type pitcher but you need to throw in some mid level prospects. Its so hard to get a top starter without destroying the farm system. However earlier in my season, I traded Billy Butler for David Price and Desmond Jennings. I have seen a lot of trades for top pitchers involve Bubba Starling as well.

How about Garza, relatively realistic and wouldn't cost you a huge load probably just 3 good B'sComment

I like the Garza idea, but would something more realistic be Ryan Dempster? Edinson Volquez? I really like Garza though too. What about someone like Ervin Santana who hasn't had such a great season this far?Proud fan of:
