(I believe almost all are real players except a couple 1st year draft guys).

    SP - Jarred Coasart, 22, b potential
    SP - Henry Sosa, 27, c potential
    SP - Paul Clemens, 25, b potential
    SP - Brett Oberholtzer, 23, b potential
    SP - Mike Foltynewicz, 21, b potential
    SP - Kyle Weiland, 26, B potential
    SP - Nick Tropeano, 22, B potential

Some other B potential guys .. 3B Chris Johnson, Brett Wallace, Jordan Schafer (only in a deal for a better CF), Brian Bogusevic (also only in a deal for a better RF)

I just feel like the majority of my lineup is composed of speedy average guys (paredes, altuve, lowrie, schafer, bogusevic, etc). I could use another guy who could net me a double or two lol. Not looking for the aging veteran or any superstars really. Just looking for some guys to look at maybe.
Michael Morse, Josh Willingham, Edward Encarnancion, Adam Dunn, just throwing out power guys who souldnt cost more than a couple B's and a C

I'd go Morneau. More team friendly contract, more likely to happen IRL and he's a Canadian. It'll be nice for you to have Joey Bats, Morneau and Lawrie in the middle of your lineup

Seth Smith is a nice platoon option that you can use as a pinch hitter as well

Thanks. I like the Morse idea, but his team is pitching heavy and not down for any deal I could think of that didn't include one of my top prospects. Willingham is a bit too old for my liking, encarnacion is playing at one of my stronger positions, and same with dunn.

After looking around a bit I think I am going to wait for my talent to develop a bit rather than go to the market. Perhaps I can find that big bat in FA at the end of the year.

Escobar is pretty damn good, only advantage Profar has shown so far over Escobar is his power. Alcides is on the verge of being a all-star at age 25. It was borderline a crime he didn't win the gold glove last year at 24. This year his offense has broken out, and he's showing why he was top 10-15 prospect in the minors, before the Brewers rushed him through the minors. He's hitting over .300, in the top 10 in the al for doubles, and stolen bases on top of being one of the premier defensive players in all of baseball right now.

Wil Myers is 2 years removed from a top 10 prospect, he's went through a position change, and came back from injury. So far this season thru 40 games in AA-AAA at 21 years old he's hitting .342 with 13 hrs and 32 rbis.

His WAR is a 1.1 so he's not super valuable, he doesn't walk much, has basically no power, and commits some errors here and there. He's good, but I dont think he'll be a guy who will be an all star more than once or twice. Myers is very good and I love him, I'm just no sure if he can stay healthy. And don't use minor league stats as they don't really mean much.

His defensive WAR was 3rd best at SS in all of baseball, I wouldn't say he's got virtually no power either. He's got very solid gap power, just won't ever hit many home runs. I don't think him hitting .280 ish with 30-40 extra base hits, 30-40 stolen bases, and competing for gold gloves every year is out of the question. I mean I absolutely hate the Royals, but there is alot to like about Escobar. He's offense has just developed really slow due the fact the Brewers felt the need to call him up at like 19-20 years old.

It's the second week of June in my Franchise and trading amoungst the CPU has begun.

                              I'm loving it!

The second place Reds just picked up a much needed veteran (and highly rated) SP, a B infield prospect and a B 1B prospect (Chris Carter) to fill in for Joey Votto (who's out for at least the next month), from the last place A's for Aroldis Chapman.

Names aside (and I really do mean, 'names aside') this was a very astute deal and benefited both team's goals (Reds short term, A's long term).

Though not a perfect system, I still felt good about the underlying logic...giving me hope for future versions of this game.

That's not to say the Reds shouldn't pick up a vet 1B too, but I liked the motivation behind a deal like this.
