That's great....so you have your opinion and I have mine on these guys

All I was getting at is that I didn't just look up a chart and start saying these guys are gods.....I just don't think they are nearly as low on the food chain as you make it appear.

It's nothing personal and trust me, I don't feel like arguing about this stuff....just voicing my opinion

That's the thing with top prospects though....for every guy that thinks they are overrated or they stink....there is another guy who thinks they are the exact opposite.....the truth is probably somewhere in the middle

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. The Jays have a real deep farm system so the prospects won't be a problem.

I'm thinking I might have to make a move sooner rather than later as my offense has really gone south. My pitching has saved us alot.I sent Eric Thames down and called up Travis Snider to play LF and I'm on the cusp of DFA Adam Lind and calling up Vladimir Guerrero to DH.

I'll probaly still hold off a little longer from making a trade but if we get to that point then I'll have to make a deal.If anyone has any other ideas let me know. For now Morneau looks like my prime target.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

In June and I saw Chapman was just put on the block as Brandon Phillips was just placed on the 60 day DL in my Marlins Chise.

I went ahead and offered Omar Infante for him. They accepted. So I landed Chapman whom I feel will be a great young closer for me in the future and I can see If I can move Bell if I fall out of contention to a contender and free myself of his contract. If I contend I have a sick one two punch.

I have moved Bonifacio to 2B and Coughlan is my everyday CF now.

Thought that was great value. The Reds are in first and they needed a 2B badly. Chapman has been awful thus far for them with an ERA north of 9.00. I am sure I can get this kid turned around with his 100 MPH heater!

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I'm not trying to start drama, I just have really no dog in the fight. Just what I've seen, and read on the guys. I do follow minor league baseball pretty closely.

On Iglesias - he's no where near the prospect Xander is, and scouts have really cooled on him since his bat has failed to develop. The reason he was ever thought of as a high end prospect was they thought he'd develop into a possible top of the order hitter. I think most scouts have completely given up on the hope of that happening.

I also think your a little over evauluating the power of Lavarnway, and Middlebrooks. I doubt they will ever hit 30 hrs in the majors. 20-25 tops is much more realistic for both. There is probably only 3-4 prospects right now with legit 30/35+ hr potential.

                      1. Bryce Harper
                      2. Miguel Sano
                      3. Jesus Montero

I didn't intend to start a argument over it, you do seem to favor the Sox a bit on the high side tho.

I am a Red Sox fan and i agree here. Iglesias probably won't do much at The Show, Middlebrooks could hit 30 homers but 20-25 is much more realistic and Lavarnway i doubt he'll hit over 25 in his career.

See....I think Lavarnway will be a backup catcher and DH - his power is legit. He hit a ball last year at McCoy that had to go 490 feet. He's going to backup Saltalamacchia next year.

For what it's worth - Middlebrooks is 3 for 4 again tonight with another RBI

I have never been that big on Lava but like what he brings to the plate. Middlebrooks on the other hand i love and really want Youk gone so we can have him still up here even when he comes off the DL.
