Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I ended up doing the trade with a small tweak. I wouldn't consider Castellanos untouchable as he is behind a great player who is going to be around for a while. I think Springer is a great trade piece for them and far more useful to that particular organization. Wandy helped them out (they took their division if i recall). They got a better closer (Myers got 42 saves at years end with a 3.67era). I also threw a second trade their way netting them a young B prospect SP (can't recall the name) for an F prospect.
So overall
Wandy
Springer ("A" potential.. #59 on the top 100)
Myers
and a B prospect SP
for
Castellanos (#45 on the top 100 prospect list)
Alburquerque
and that crap guy from AA
I think that is enough to make up the difference of 14 spots on the prospect list. I did this deal because I signed that Cuban CF that was a free agent and had schafer. The Cuban guy (Jorge something) retired at the end of the season ugh..Comment

David Hernandez from Arizona. Mid to high 90s on the heat and a decent to good curve. He's going to be the closer here in Arizona when Putz leaves.Yes, I've been here since 2003. No, I don't post much. I'm too busy playing the games.Comment

Mayberry Jr. from Phillies for Lars Anderson and what else? C prospect or B prospect. I have a plethora of B and C Prospect that would fit nice for them.Trying to bring back the winning ways of the Boston Red Sox.
It should be a long tired road considering the fans/media I have to deal with.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
In real life, what it will take to get him is likely another young stud who can close games in a year or two, or else a lower prospect and an arm or two to balance it out. The D-backs are loaded in starter prospects, but could use an arm or three out of the pen.
In-game wise? I don't know. Either an older but still servicable vet or a couple of young arms. I don't think the game views him as a closer in waiting, though, only as a young reliever, so if you're not worried about realism, just mess around with the relievers or starters you don't want until the trade goes through.Yes, I've been here since 2003. Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm playing with the Royals and right now there on the brink of contention. Currently 2 games out with trade deadline a couple weeks away. I'm thinking about making a move to shore up my starting rotation. One idea I came up with was Brett Eibner and Jason Adam for Ryan Dempster. Does this sound fair?Comment
