Wasn't Carlos Pena hitting something like .296 with 40 HRs?

Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

Does anyone know if Bryan Roberts is a reliable SS. Haven't really ever followed the guy much but I need a good bench guy that would see a lot of time at 2B and SS for my Brewers playoff run.

The fact that he's a switch hitter is key in my trade for him.

Just wondering because I've stuck some 3B players at short before (without it being a second position) and they are just terrible defensively for some reason.

never recalled Brian Roberts ever playing SS but yes there's plenty of other options available

Lol are you serious? First I'm a fan of Beckham but why in the world would we give the top RH pitching prospect in baseball and our top fielding prospect for James Shields and a probable bust in Beckham? I'm sorry but as a Braves fan I'd be HIGHLY upset if the Braves did this.

Because Shields is a top 5 starter in the AL and its not like Teheran is a top 5 pitching prospect right now. Dont get me wrong hes really good, but is he a sure thing? No. And its not like Betancourt is a top 100 prospect or anything. Again he's good, but not supose to be a superstar.

Teheran is probably a top 5 in all of baseball much less a top 5 pitching prospect, not sure why you would think he isn't even a top 5 pitching prospect. And Betancourt is most certainly a top 100 prospect, he might not be on all of top 100 board on some rankings but I've seen him on quite a few.

As far as Shields don't get me wrong I think he is a very GOOD pitcher, but he doesn't quite have the STAR potential Teheran does. I doubt he has the year he had last year again. Like I said I think he's a good pitcher, and I'm a fan of the guy, I just don't feel like he warrants the number ONE right handed pitching prospect and our organizations top fielding prospect.

It's possible that I'm too close to this one, but trading our top prospect for a guy that I believe has peaked isn't something I would be interested in.

Teheran isnt a top 5 guy anymore in alot of peoples minds. His fastball is straight as can be, while he throws very hard, its flat and when he tries to go up in the zone it gets hit hard. While his changeup is plus, he lacks a good secondary off speed pitch, (its average). Scouts thought he was alot closer then he actually was, which is why he's dropped in alot of scouts ratings. Recently Mayo said that hes dropped him out of his top 5,(and Mayo was the guy that was the highest on him. Idk if youve looked at all but this year hes had trouble in the minors. Hes walking alot more people and his K rate is down. I'm still very high on him, just dont think hes a top 5 guy anymore with the likes of Moore, Bundy, Miller, Cole, Bauer, Walker.

I dont know why you dont think Shields is elite. Besides Weaver, Verlander, and Sabathia, who else is better then him. He was second last year in the CY Young and is very durable. That trade was defitnitley a fair package.

I totally respect your opinion but I guess we have to agree to disagree on this one.

The Cubs offered me Ryan Dempster for 3rd baseman prospect Anthony Rendon (A pot). Thoughts?

Also I'd like to admit my mistake on Betancourt. Idk what I was thinking,he's defitnitley a top 100 guy, just at the bottom.
