if he's doing well, i'd have no problem throwing in a couple of C's as well...1 B seems a little short for Dempster

I am the Kansas City Royals and I just pulled off an incredible trade sending C potential Rey Navarro (2B) for SP Gerrit Cole, SP Jameson Taillon and RF Josh Bell (All A potentials. Cole selected 1st overall last year Taillon 2nd overall in 2010 and Bell was the top bat in last years draft)! The Pirates accepted it and said it fits their rebuilding interests. This has to be one of the best trades I ever pulled off!

hey guys im doing a franchise as the pirates and im not to familiar with there farm system .im interested in these guys but i would like to know the value of them so i can make a plan of whom to get.

im 3 GB of first place im right at the all star break im top 15 in most of the batting rankings (but i have no power at all) so i play a lot of small ball.

my starting pitching is doing some what well just one need that one solid arm since my 5th spot is my only problem.

bullpen started out great! then once june hit it all fell apart (SP dont go late in the games to much) so this is my biggest need
and again just wondering the value of these players,what a fair trade for them

Teheran is probably a top 5 in all of baseball much less a top 5 pitching prospect, not sure why you would think he isn't even a top 5 pitching prospect. And Betancourt is most certainly a top 100 prospect, he might not be on all of top 100 board on some rankings but I've seen him on quite a few.

As far as Shields don't get me wrong I think he is a very GOOD pitcher, but he doesn't quite have the STAR potential Teheran does. I doubt he has the year he had last year again. Like I said I think he's a good pitcher, and I'm a fan of the guy, I just don't feel like he warrants the number ONE right handed pitching prospect and our organizations top fielding prospect.

It's possible that I'm too close to this one, but trading our top prospect for a guy that I believe has peaked isn't something I would be interested in.

If you look at the stats, Luke Scott and James shields are having incredible years. On page 38 of arbitration panel, you can see that Shields is going to win Cy Young. Teheran isn't doing great at AAA! Bethancourt isn't doing good at AA either. Salcedo is on class A, so he has no stats. In my franchise, The Braves lost Hudson and Beachy for the year, they had to move Kimbrel to the rotation!!! If you were doing it before the season, no it wouldn't make sense, but when you look at the circumstances, without shields, the braves would be lucky to scrap into the playoffs. Hudson has a head fracture, so he will likely retire after season. It makes sense with the scenarios going on, but without the scenarios, you're right, it would never happen!

I started a new Cubs franchise and want to get Nick Castellanos and Jacob Turner from the Tigers without giving up Starlin Castro, Anthony Rizzo, Brett Jackson, or Trey McNutt. Is this a realistic possibility, and if so, what do I have to give up?

Also the only reason I'm "concocting" trades right now is because it is the trade deadline. I can't do any trades after today, and I can't play any games right now, because my grandma is in town! I am spending time with her. Sorry if I have a life outside of the game! You obviously don't!!!

I actually played almost all so far jacka**! Why do you think guys like that are getting those stats? I have only done 2 trades this year. You have to negotiate to get a deal done! I am only trying to trade guys that I don't want to bring back. By the way, you have to read the reasons and look at stats! The braves gm in arbitration panel agreed to it, because in real life they would have too. With 2 starters out for year, and 1 with a career ending injury, they had to make a deal! I guess you only know about the game though! You probably don't even watch baseball in real life or been around it, so you wouldn't know about dealing with injuries and such! You probably just hit the quit game button of your star player gets an injury! You can't do that in real life you d*ck! What's sad is your probably some old man just sitting on your computer, getting on people becuase the trades don't add up on overall grades and such in the game! Get out of your virtual world, and step into the real world!

It would certainly be a stretch. Garza would have to be having a really good year, throw in two Bs also. And the Togers would have to be in first place/contention
