Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
el I just took advantage of the Orioles but oh well. For some reason they were dead set on getting rid of Britton. I traded Garza, Soto, and Jeff Baker for Britton and Manny Machado. Im ashamed but was looking for a 2nd or 3rd basemen and the Cubs have no ammo outside of Garza.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
SP: Darvish, Holland, Oswalt, Harrison, Lewis
SU: Nathan, Ogando... etc.
CL: Feliz
Or your second option is to take out Harrison and put him as your long reliever and put Feliz back into the rotationComment

RE: James Shields
Sorry about the injuries that you've suffered from. With Tim Hudson and Brandon Beachy out for the rest of the season, it seems like you need some pitching depth.
Here's how you guys rank:
Era: 4.29 21st
Complete Games: 2 T-29th
Hits Allowed: 889 15th
Runs Allowed: 413 17th
Earned Runs: 291 16th
HR Allowed: 105 T-29th
Strikeouts: 706 22nd
Win percentage: .584 5th
Those numbers are horrendous compared to what they should have been. We have come up with a solution to your problems. We could trade you James Shields! Here's his numbers:
Wins: 12, 3rd in MLB
Losses: 1, 2nd in MLB
Era: 2.10, tops in AL, 2nd in MLB
Complete Games: 4 T-3 MLB, has a couple 9inng shutouts, and then a reliever blew it in 10th.
Shutouts: 2, T-3 in MLB
Runs allowed: 41
Earned Runs: 38
HR allowed: 11
Strikouts: 153, 2nd in AL, would be 4th in MLB
Win percentage: .923
Whip: 1.14, 5th in MLB
Innings pitched: 163.0, 1st in MLB by 12 innings!
As you can see, his numbers are good. He has a 12-1 record in 21 games. Hitters are hitting .231 against him, with lefties hitting .225! Righties are hitting just .237! He also leads the MLB in innings pitched, which is big for y'all, since your bullpen has worked a lot this year.
To get to the point we are interested in Julio Teheran. He is doing horrible at AAA for y'all, and we think it is because he doesn't have the time to grow there. He is 5-9 at AAA and has a 4.09 era(on recent hot streak) We think we can turn him around, but you need pitching now. We propose this to y'all:
Rays receive:
Julio Teheran
Christian Bethancourt hitting .268 with 4 homers, 28 RBI in 343 abs at AA.
Braves receive:
James Shields
Kyle Farnsworth 35 g, 46 innings, 3.52 era, 34 K, 1.26 whip, opponents are batting .233 against him. Righties are batting .221, and lefties are hitting .244 against him.
Carlos Pena hitting .289, 35 hr, 88 RBI, 112 hits in 387 abs, .993 fielding %( all except fielding % & avg. lead MLB.) he is 3rd in AL first baseman for gold glove. He is leading AL MVP.
Freddie Freeman is hitting .265 with 15 hr, 59 RBI, 98 hits in 370 abs
Since you've been short on starting pitching, this past week, you moved Kimbrel into rotation. With Shields, you could move Kimbrel back to closer, and your current setup man, Jonny Venters, has a 5.98 era in 40.2 innings pitched, so Farnsworth could take over for him. You could move Venters into middle innings, so that he doesn't have as much pressure on him.
Y'all are 59-42, and are 3.5 games above the Mets for 1st in division.
We just got swept by Yanks, but are now only 7.5 games behind them for AL East division title at 67-35. We currently lead Wild Card by 13.5 games.
It's 2 days before trade deadline, so get back to me soon, and we can make probably the biggest trade deadline deal in history!!!!!
Please get back to me as soon as possible, and we can negotiate however much we need to. ( just ask ACMillan1999)
Best regards,

SUBJECT: James Shields
Im sorry it has takin me so long to respond to your proposal as i have been very busy today at work. my apologies, as I was hoping my GM would get to this since i couldnt, he must be very busy to. With that lets get this under way
It is truely a tough break for us being that we lost two of out top starters for that year and is very unfortunate.
Moving Kimbrel to the rotation was a despiration move as were trying to transfer Livan and Medlen back to the starting rotation so we can get Kimbrel back where he belongs (which you know is his strong point).
We are really high on Julio Teheran, and in despiration we were expecting to call him up earlier then wanted. And also with getting Kimbrel back to closing out games Kyle Farnsworth would pretty much be useless for us and hes also getting up there in age.
Also we like what we see in Bethencourt, We dont know how much longer Ross will be with us.
What is Delgado's numbers as of right now? Whats Hellickson and Moore looking like?
We have alot of young potential pitching wise and feel like we could still be okay making a push with out giving up one of our top prospects, for a "rental" player per say.
We would deffiantly like to make a counter offer here but would like to know a little more information.
Thanks

All the players listed right above are off limits!
Don't forget we can always trade more than 3 players. We can just trade the extra players for a really low rated player, like a D potential or something. We really want Teheran, because even you know if he's struggling at AAA, then he will get KILLED in the MLB!
Please send us a offer that you think is appropriate after seeing all of this, and we hope to be doing business with you within the next day(game time, we hope to get a deal done within the next few hours in real life time!)

Could you guys help me think of a deal that I could put together in order to obtain Julio Teheran, and maybe some other prospects?Comment

Shields and Farnsworth for Teheran and Betancourt sounds good to me.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I see no reason for Pena to be in the deal. If you wanna deal him, trade him in a separate deal cuz I think you'll get more value out of him that way. Given how you're in the AL and have the possibility of DH'ing him as well, I'd hold on.
