I was most seriously looking into the Yankees (as they have been dreaming in real life for a while now).

What's a good list of pitching prospects I might be able to get from a big market teams only?

Who is a roster player from a big market club I might be able to get as a return?

Obviously wouldn't mind adding a SS or 3B, but I don't know how realistic that is. I'll take an good outfield bat to play every day if I can.

I like Smoak, but I'd upgrade in a second if I could get a 1B that hits for a better average.

as far as pitching prospects go, take a look at

when u pick your team/pitchers, it'd be easier to add on a roster player(s)

Thanks for the link--very useful. Judging from the list I bet I could get something good from Texas, but no way I'm trading within the division.

haha...maybe the Yankees? they have a few nice pitching prospects...or if u want him completely out of the AL, perhaps the Braves?

I've had Hernandez on the block for a few weeks and out of nowhere the Red Sox offered me Carl Crawford and Buchholz for Hernandez and Gutierrez. It was...strange.

And I'm not interested in being saddled with Crawford's contract.

Does A-Rod have any kind of trade value anymore? Obviously in not going for 100% realism, because Rodriguez has a pretty strict ntc. I'm just going to be looking to move him for just about anything (cheaper) at the deadline. I'm in May and he is still hitting around .100.

How bad is this thought on Carlos Triunfel for Alex Rios?

Going through the game only Houston and Seattle is looking for a RF and know I can't get anything more than a "C" for Rios if that I guess, I don't know which is why I am asking. Seattle has a "C" rated 22yo Catcher too I wouldn't mind snagging if that would be more fair as they have a young catcher locked up. I guess they figure Ichiro is retiring and want a replacement sooner rather than later. Realistic is only part of the equation, more interested in fairness. thanks.

Going with the braves for felix.. you might be able to squeeze out tehran (sp?) and heyward to if you maybe throw something else in to, Im not sure that would be to fair though but who knows!

The prospect status of Triunfel has kinda faded the last year or two and Franklin has become the top MI prospect for the M's. Sure the M's have sort of a logjam in the outfield with Wells, Carp, Saunders, Robinson, Gutierrez and Ichiro but to answer your question - yes I think Triunfel for Rios would be a fair deal. Sort of 50/50 on it being realistic but fair, yes.
