Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I started a season with the brewers and have only played 5 or 6 games so far. I always look at the rosters and see players I might want to trade for later in the season.
I know I want other SS, since i do not care for any of the old SS the brewers have right now.
I was looking at the Oakland A's SS Cliff Pennington and the Tigers JHONNY PERALTA. I think Cliff is higher rated than Peralta.
There is something odd with the so called improved trade logic because for either of those two players I can trade ANY player in the brewers team..Even D rated prospects. Point is when i mean any player I mean any player..
It doesnt make any sense to me, because both players are not outstanding but both are decent to say the least. The A's do not have a decent SS to backup Cliff nor do the Tigers. I am just talking about rating wise in the game, not how you might view the SS backups they have in real life.
Its just confusing why the CPU controlled teams, would approve those trade..because like I said I mean ANYONE will be accepted for those two players. Its just seems to not make any sense, even more so with the so called improved trade logic.
It doesnt matter when it comes down to trade..because I cant do a trade that makes no sense suchs a 38 years old D rated player for a younger decent SS with a B rating like Cliff. When i do trade I will make sure its fair, so trade logic really effects to me more what the CPU VS CPU teams due in trades. I can control it and make fair trades,,just I dont look forward to what I will see trade wise late in the season.Comment

Any idea who would want Iglesias I kind of like the idea of trading him to Seattle for Paxton + a couple others.Comment

they're frontloaded with starting pitchers in Wheeler, Harvey, and Familia.....they have a couple of decent hitting prospects in Nimmo, Flores, Valdespin...Harvey and Wheeler would be the least likely to be tradedSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So after getting advice on another thread, I decided that I will start one with the Pirates. I won't be able to start it for a week or two still, but in the meantime I was wondering what kind of prospects I could get for the following players.
Garrett Jones
Casey McGehee
Erik Bedard
Jeff Karstens
Kevin Correia
Joel Hanrahan
I'm also looking to find younger players to fill positions at Catcher, First Base, Short Stop, and relief pitcher. Thanks for the help.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Almost at the trade deadline and I have one more move to make. I CANNOT hit with Kevin Youkilis. Therefore I am looking to trade him.
Any ideas as far as teams, and players I could get back. Trying to play realstically BTW"I'm just gonna go out there, and call the Yankees my daddy" - Pedro Martinez

For younger cathers, you could look at the Red Sox. Maybe Sltamalachia, Lavarnway, or if you are willing to wait a few years, Blake Swihart."I'm just gonna go out there, and call the Yankees my daddy" - Pedro Martinez

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Alright, so the Mariners are looking to acquire Jeff Samradzija (RP in my franchise) and 3B Ian Stewart from the Cubs. They are willing to part with closer Brandon League. I don't care so much about realism, but I would like to be fair. Who else should Seattle include in the trade? Alternatively, if Seattle was willing to take on Alfonso Soriano's contract (Cubs are desperate to trade him), would that change things?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
then it wouldnt make the biggest difference in the world.....so it'd be Samardijza, Stewart, possibly Soriano for League? if so u'd probably have to give them either Carp or Gutierrez and a B prospectSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment
