I successfully went back to th 2012 offseason and accomplished what I set out to do. I still need some suggestions relating to where to deal frenchy.
5 man rotation
Edwin Jackson
Dan Duffy
Luke Hochevar
Mike Montgomery
Jake Odorizzi
Wouldn't mind an upgrade for my 5th starter. ANy pitchers I could go after for Frenchy?
Starting 9
C - Perez
1 - Hosmer
2 - Cuthbert (20 year old 3rd baseman converted to second base)
3 - Moustakas
SS - Escobar
LF - Gordon
CF - Cain
RF - Myers
DH - Butler
Bench-
Dyson (base stealer)
Dominic Brown

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So, I made the LA-Boston mega deal, I'm taking control of Boston and want to continue the rebuild. Idk who all I will want to move yet, and I'm not moving all of these players but what could I expect in return for these guys? I'm just starting the season, so later in June/July I will be giving stats for the players I really want to move.
SP John Lackey B/B 33
SP Jon Lester B/B 28
SP Daisuke Matsuzaka B/B 31
CP Alfredo Aceves B/B 29
C Kelly Shoppach C/C 31
SS Mike Aviles C/C 30
CF Jacoby Ellsbury B/A 28
RF Cody Ross B/B 31
Also, What RP with B or A potentials would be realistic targets? Boston's bullpen is dreadful.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ok I got Impatient after a few games, sim'd to late July. Here's who I'm considering moving:
SP Jon Lester: 10-6, 3.75 era, 124.2 ip, 151 so, 48 bb
RP Craig Breslow: 3-0, 3.88 era, 51 ip, 44 so, 17 bb
CP Alfredo Aceves: 1-2, 1 save, 2.56 era, 56.1 ip, 53 so, 17 bb
C Kelly Shoppach: .320 avg, 10 hr, 36 RBI, .359 OBP, .514 slg, 15 bb, 77 so
2B Dustin Pedroia: .231 avg, 6 hr, 30 RBI, .285 OBP, 27 bb, 83 so, 13 SB
SS Mike Aviles: .231 avg, 1 hr, 9 RBI, .280 OBP, perfect fielding
RF Cody Ross: .302 avg, 16 hr, 47 RBI, .367 OBP, 31 bb
RF Ryan Sweeney: .335 avg, 30 RBI, .376 OBP, 17 bb, 56 so .965 field
I'm really not out of the play offs, but it would take a good but of luck to make it, I'd rather re-tool for the next few years. I'm really looking to target pitchers and find a superstar of the future for the team. I'm still not sure if Middlebrooks is my 3B of the future or not. I'd be willing to give up a lot for a young MLB ready star as well if any are realistically available.
Teams with no shot of the play offs:
Orioles 27 gb
Indians 14.5
Royals 20.5
Twins 23
Mariners 14
Marlins 10
Phillies 12
Cubs 15.5
Pirates 18.5
Astros 28.5 (still under 30 wins!)
Padres 20.5
Rockies 22Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey, I traded for CC Sabathia earlier in the year, which made one of my end-of-the-rotation starters expendable. I want to get some prospects back that I lost in the Sabathia deal (especially some bullpen prospects), so who has more value?
SP Vance Worley (4-2, 3.84 ERA, 1.30 WHIP) - Got relegated to bullpen
SP Tommy Hanson (6-3, 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP)
Hanson's been pretty inconsistent even though his ERA doesn't suggest it. He's gotten SHELLED in his 3 losses. But I would be open to trading either.
I could also be talked into trading Trevor Cahill, but I would rather not. His stats are 2-6, 4.19 ERA, 1.27 WHIPComment
