Sweeney is an interesting suggestion, I'll look him up when I get home later. Ideally I think I'd like someone I could put in the leadoff spot when they play.
U'd have to trade them to a contending team for prospects then send those prospects to either SF or Arizona(if they're out of it)......I'm not the biggest Bartlett fan either but he's ok...how about Yunel Escobar from the Jays? (if at some point ur unsatisfied with Ryan)......Sweeney is capable of batting 1st or 2nd as he's more of a get-on-base guy rather then a masher

Yeah, that's kinda why I'm thinking of waiting until July when teams are in Playoff Push mode. So far in my test sims I've gotten some pretty good offers, especially on Ichiro. Of course, both SF and Arizona could be contending as well, so it'll all depend on what they're looking for.

if either/both are contending, u'd have to give up proven major-league players in return..kinda robbing peter to pay paul kinda thing....im not surprised teams would be interested in Ichiro although i wouldn't expect a gigantic return at this point in his career

I'm looking to upgrade the Cubs infield (2nd and/or 3rd base) and would be willing to part with Garza as I'm assuming the Cubs will do at some point.

I'd prefer to stay as realistic as possible.

I'm in Early May with my Yankees franchise....I am 19-18. However, Brett Gardner is hitting .170. I absolutely cannot hit with him. He's going on the block...but I don't know who I can pick up for him.

If ur lookin for prospects, i wouldnt expect more then a couple of mid-level guys...if ur lookin for a major-league guy, i'd check in on Travyon Robinson from the Mariners and have them throw in a C prospect as well

Good call. I guess it's feasible if I'm giving up Garza.

trade is somewhat fair....mets need starting pitching in the worst way...u should throw in a mid-level prospect as well

Looking to upgrade relief pitching for the Tigers.

                          I will NOT trade:
                          Verlander
                          Cabrera
                          Fielder
                          Fister
                          Below(spell check?)
                          Martinez

                          Very willing to trade:
                          Inge
                          Jackson

Just at work thinking of how to improve the reliefs. I'd prefer to give up prospects or upgrade at 2B while obtaining a pitcher. I played through 1 season already but will be starting a new one, relief pitching killed me the most by far.

I'm the Indians in a Fantasy Draft franchise. I am still in spring training.

The Pirates went into Rebuilding mode (surprising considering it was still spring training).

I wanted to upgrade at 3B as I had a Scott Rolen/Casey Blake platoon set up. I was able to trade Rolen and AJ Burnett for Adrian Beltre.

AJ Burnett was my #5 man in the rotation, so he will be replaced with Bartolo Colon who was set to be my long man.

The deal did cost me alot of salary space.

You could always sign Mike Gonzalez. Or there's Tony Pena on the Red Sox. I do really good with him, and it wasn't but a couple of years ago he was in the running to be the closer for a good D-Backs team. I might be a bit bias cause I follow the DBacks closely. My favorite team behind ATL.

I see what you mean. I didn't expect to be even near .500 at this point, nor have I expected to finish near it. I figured I'd be out of any post season talk. My idea to start was hoping some of the vets who got a young guy below him got hot and I could trade them when they had more value. I might just stick it out with what I got unless the CPU offers me an offer I can't refuse. Byrd has only 1 year left as it is on my franchise so I could figure to let him walk as he'll more than likely end up a A or B type free agent so I'll get something in return.

What can it hurt to try and go all in for one year without giving up the prospects I consider part of the future.
