i never had a problem throwing with Castro.....situation with ur catching is pretty simple....castro against righties, olivo against lefties....against righties, my lineup would be schafer, altuve, martinez, lee, bogusevic, johnson, castro, gonzalez, pitcher and against lefties it'd be altuve, gonzalez, martinez, lee, johnson, olivo, bogusevic, schafer (although u can always play maxwell against lefties) pitcherPSN: Dreamchaser_865

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys long time lurker first time poster. Just looking for a couple thoughts on some trades. In my Red Sox dynasty Punto went down in early May with shoulder cartliage damage and is out until mid August. He was splitting time with Aviles as both were hitting about .240-.250. His injury caused me to call up Igelsias, which I didn't want to do because he was hitting .250 in AAA and I was proved right in my worries. I gave him 25 ABs (small sample size I know) but he only had hit. That obviously wasn't cutting it so I shipped Michael Bowden out to Arizona for Willie Bloomquist. Since the trade two weeks ago Willie has been great hitting over .300 with 3 steals and a home run.
Next Felix Doubront was getting lit up for me in the 4th starter spot so I had to demote him. I tried multiple people in the role (Padilla, Cook, Aceves) and none worked out. I then traded Andrew Miller (a Theo pet project) to the Cubs for Paul Maholm. He was great the first two starts but has since stunk up the joint. I am now looking to unload him but no team is willing to take on his contract which is 3.5 for one season.
Cliffnotes because I realize this is a longer post:
Traded Michael Bowden for Willie Bloomquist
Traded Andrew Miller for Paul Maholm
Looking to unload Maholm and obtain a lefty rp (non-elite) in the same trade if possible.
As you can see I like to keep it close to realistic to please don't post suggestions that rip off the CPU. Thanks!Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
If I can move him in the deal for a lefty RP sure. If I have to move him for something and then acquire a lefty RP in a separate trade that is fine as well. Carpenter and Mortenson are pitching well in AAA so I plan on bringing one of them up and giving Aceves another shot in the rotation.Comment

I can get the Romero/Sherrill/Fuentes/Rhodes types but not while moving Maholm. I trying to see if I was forgetting someone or if anyone had any luck moving Maholm. All I am looking for is a C prospect but no team is willing to even give up that for him because of his salary.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah, maybe a little overkill. I haven't actually done the trade, still in Spring Training. I just did it in one of my test runs, I probably wouldn't make a big trade like that until June/July. As for why? I dunno, it's just fun for me. I try to balance building the team I want with giving up fair talent. It was originally a three way trade but I also control SEA and I saw a chance to snag a good, young CF. We'll see if things actually play out that way.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
TYea that's what I gonna do because you right there isn't a reliable catcher in the minors. Didn't Synder backup John Baker in his Florida days? Maybe that's something I need to take in account when draft day hits. I know pitching is needed but I think I can get both if play my cards right. But the reason I would go after a catcher in the draft because I should receive decent prospects dealing off Lee and Rodriguez.PSN: Dreamchaser_865

I am at a huge disappointment with micheal bourn right now. I just cannot get on base with him. Batting just .132 with him. Now take for granted I'm only 9 games into the season, but still. The last thing I'm wanting to do is trade him (yes i kno its early in the season). I'm trying to get Colby Rasmus from the blue jays but there just not biting. Seems like they only want to let him go for one of my top starters and I just dont think he's worth that. Plus there's so many different ways I can use Rasmus especially once Chip retires. Anybody have an idea how I can get him to Atlanta? BTW my top starters are untouchable when it comes to trying to get Rasmus.Comment

I assume Maholm only has a one year deal right? Why trade him and get 2 cents of the dollar for him? Since you're looking for a LHP reliever, why can't Maholm be that guy? I understand if he's been bad in the rotation and you're sick of him but maybe he'll blossom in the pen. Sure he'd be an expensive bullpen arm but maybe worth giving him a shot for 3-4 appearances and see how he does as a MRP
