The horrible trade logic in this game would allow me to trade Berkman and Matt Adams straight up for Hosmer, but I know that would be highway robbery so I cant do it. Is there anyone from the Cardinals I could package with Berkman to make it not such a ripoff for the royals.

    Thanks.

So I messed around with Toronto a little bit on trying to get Colby Rasmus and I got them to bite on giving me Rasmus for Peter moylan, dimaster Delgado, and andrelton Simmons. Only problem is, I believe I'm giving up way to much for Just Colby Rasmus. I could possibly pull Delgado out of the deal, but personally I would like to keep Simmons. What can I do here? And ideas?

I agree that was a hefty price to pay. At first glance, Moylan could be removed as I think Rasmus for two top prospects is a fair deal.

If you keep Simmons, can you do Pastornicky and Delgado for Rasmus?

Honestly I would like to keep both pastronicky and Simmons because in later years after I'm done with uggla I could play both of them up the middle. But if I had to trade one of them I would cut ties with Simmons because pastronicky has come through in the clutch for me on several occasions. I could throw in one of my 3B prospects in there but I just don't kno which one could be my future yet. I just don't feel like Rasmus is worth a MLB reliever AND 2 top prospects. Imma work with it a little more though and see. It helps me though that Prado can play pretty much anywhere so I could use Rasmus in Left after Chip leaves

You might not even have drafted your 3B of the future yet. Are there any good 3B prospects in the draft that you can target?

Agreed. You could probably get Julio Borbon for Peter Moylan or even Kris Medlen straight up. There's a lot of talk of him on the boards here but how about Marlon Byrd?

Probably pulled of one of the most RIDICULOUS trades EVER in MLB The Show history...

              Phillies get: Andrew McCutchen
              Pirates get: David Herndon

I was just messing around and was trying to somehow move all the players I don't really like (Contreras, Herndon,...). Then I thought about some guy I read on that about (can't remember his name tho) on the Pirates Double A roster. Accidently added McCutchen to the Pirates list of players to be traded while Herndon was already on my list.

First, I thought it was a bug or I was missing something out here, but then I realised the offer was for real. I now have a really great OF with Victorino, McCutchen and Pence (left to right).

BTW: I ended up releasing Contreras because he was drawing absolutely NO interest from any team (who wonders why...)

After a recording setting year, and not in a good way, the Orioles trade Mark Reynolds

                  A's get: 3B Mark Reynolds
Orioles get: 1B Daric Barton, 3B Scott Sizemore, SP Daniel Straily

The A's get power hitting that they desperately need, and the Orioles get a first basemen and Reynolds replacement at 3rd, and a pitching prospect
i have no idea who Straily is and Barton is garbage so on paper the O's won that trade

I am looking for some good prospects or MLB ready OF's that i can get and maybe an upgrade at 3B and at SP.

I like Garza, Volstad and Dempster but not sold on Jeff Samrardzija and Paul Maholm as my other starters, i have some prospects but none that are ready for the MLB just yet [soon, but not yet].

                    I am after ideas please.
                    Soriano's worth a B+C.....Byrd, 2 C's, DeJesus, C+D...i'd give Samrardzija a shot and deal Maholm for sure (2 D's) for him

considering Parker was the key piece in the Cahill trade, no way they deal him

They have O'Flaherty as another solid lefty in the pen but the chance of it getting done is slim-to-none, yes. Speculating in different options keeps our mind fresh and one "bad" proposal might make you think of a better one
