Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

K guys need some advice here before I jump the gun on a trade.

I'm currently tied up with the Phils in my Braves franchise for 1st place in the NL East.

We're around 60 games in so a lil over 1/3rd way thru the season. Now the usually sure hitting Michael Bourn is flat not hitting at all. He's currently batting .211 and has shown absolutely no signs of coming out of it.

He is the one thing in my lineup other than Pastronicky (who is actually batting almost .300 in the 8 spot) that is holding my team back from running away with the division lead.

I really like Bourn in the field and on the bases but if he isn't getting on he isn't doing my team any favors.

Any ideas on some trades I should look at (realistic only plz). I'm even willing to trade for a young prospect CF so at least I'd get younger at the position and get the same production.

How about BJ Upton from the Rays?

Also looking at possibly dealing Hudson. Any ideas what I could get for him? Looking at LF and 3B primarily as replacements. Wouldn't be opposed for including a prospect in the deal, although Teheran is off limits.
First team I came to think about for Hudson is the Red Sox. There are some good OF prospects in the system and you could probably get one of them along with a 3B prospect that's not Will Middlebrooks for Hudson.

Could Uggla be a fit in Dodgertown? A package including Jerry Sands (LF/1B) and a B prospect for Uggla? You'd be dumping a lot of salary on the Dodgers so I don't know how the CPU would respond though

BJ Upton like yanks22009 mentioned is a possibility.

Then there's Marlon Byrd, Julio Borbon and Denard Span all more or less available.

If you wanna do something within your own division, the Marlins might be willing to giive up Chris Coghlan since they're set with LoMo, Bonifacio and Stanon in the OF. They have Scott "crushing Posey" Cousins and Bryan Petersen on their AAA team and Austin Kearns is available off the major league bench.

I have managed to create an all star team for my royals franchise. I have managed to gain through trades Carl Crawford, Albert pujouls, Michael young, Jose Bautista, Miguel Cabrera, Ryan Braun, and Hanley Rameriz, with forced trades OFF. If anyone does not believe me I'll be more than happy to provide pics.

I was able to pick up Colby Rasmus for Peter moylan and our 3B prospect Edward. I was the same way. Michael can't get on for skittles. It dot want to get rid of him. So that was a good trade to me incase micheal came out of it. Then next year I can move Prado to third and Rasmus to left if I re sign him

Wow, doesn't get any sweeter than that! I hope Santana was throwing a gem and that you totally spoiled it for him with that homerun

Well you certainly put a dirty sock in their mouth with that two-run shot

Are the Braves any fun to play with? Leaning SF or PIT for my 'chise but I'm open to suggestions

I love playing with them. Got a lot of young talent, on top of some holes to fill due to older players retiring soon. So, to me it kinda gives me that rebuild attitude without actually rebuilding. Cuz I'm looking for that diamond to fill chippers shoes. Plus there farm system is deep. Especially in pitching

I am going to be doing Braves because they are my favorite team.

As he said the farm system is pretty deep. From videos I have seen of the OSFM Spring Training roster (at school so no PS3 so I can't see in person) they have in the minors:
                              Julio Teheran - SP - A potential
                              Randall Delgado - SP - B potential
                              Sean Gilmartin - SP - B potential
                              Zeke Spruill - SP - B potential

                              Arodys Vizcaino - RP - A potential
                              J.R. Graham - RP - B potential

                              Christian Bethancourt - C - B potential

                              Joey Terdoslavich - 1B - B potential

                              Brandon Drury - 3B - B potential
                              Edward Salcedo - 3B - B potential

                              Andrelton Simmons - SS - B potential

                              Mycal Jones - CF - B potential

And in terms of the majors the holes seem to be at LF, 3B (with Chipper retiring), CF (depending on how you view Bourn), SS (depending on how you view Pastornicky), and Uggla/McCann as they are coming out of their primes (McCann moreso because catchers take a bigger beating). However you can use those B prospects in the minors as the starters in waiting so you don't even need to make any major moves.

You can turn some of those young prospects into major league ready talent to fill those holes, or you can trade for prospects to fill those holes for the future. Myself I will probably flip Hudson and Uggla for prospects to try and fill those holes.

                              Should be fun.

Good luck man. Dealing off Hudson for me turned to be a little tuff. Plus he's on the DL right now so I can't trade him. Uggla will more then likely stay in Atlanta till he's done(maybe end of contract) I'm on the bethancourt bandwagon right now so he will prolly take over for McCann. Not really sure what I'm gonna do at third yet. Just picked up Rasmus do I might move Prado to third till I find that diamond in the ruff, then trade off Rasmus. Not sure what imma due at 2nd either after uggla. I'm also on the pastronicky wagon lol
