Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
In my A's franchise I really want to upgrade the short stop position, and one of my favorite players is Hanley Ramirez. Im going to wait until at least the All-Star break to make this trade if I end up doing so. What do you guys think?
A's get: 3B/SS Hanley Ramirez
Marlins get: C Kurt Suzuki, CF Michael Choice, 3B Renato Nunez
Choice has A potential and Nunez has B potential, neither has any MLB service.
The A's get an obvious upgrade at SS, and another great hitter to pair with Cespedes. In return the Marlins get Kurt Suzuki, a big upgrade for them at catcher, and two prospects to help their weak farm system
If the Marlins are leading their division or the NL wild card or Ramirez is putting up huge numbers this trade wouldn't make sense so I won't make it in either of those situations, but in the right scenario I would definitely look into make this deal. What do you guys think of this trade?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
im the mets and somehow i got around the freezing issue (THANK GOD) and i would like to include pelfrey in a trade for a young prospect at either sp, cp, c, ss or cf. i would like to be realistic with this. i got jake arrieta so i have basically no use for him anymore besides the pen.
THANKS!Mets, Giants, Rangers, and the Aggies

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yea I have thought about BJ Upton but the biggest issue I have with them in trying to keep things realistic is that the Rays are currently in the Cellar of the AL East (with the Orioles winning I might add rofl).
I guess I need to decide whether I should be keeping it realistic from an IRL standpoint or a current status of the team in-game standpoint lol.
I also wanted to trade away Tim Hudson by the deadline but he is currently leading in the Cy Young Voting and is pitching like a god atm. I'll have to hold on to him for at least the season just because of that.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Just started up my White Sox chise. Thinking about rebuilding/retooling. The Jays were rumored to be after Gavin Floyd/John Danks during the winter. Do you guys think a Gavin Floyd for Kyle Drabek type trade would be realistic?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Playing on my BoSox franchise. While surveying trade possibilities around the league, the hated Yankees always seem to give me the best realistic trade deals. Is it too unrealistic if I traded with them? Despite being in the same division and the best rivalry in all of sports. Obviously Im trying to play my franchise realistically, so what do you think?Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Okay. First week of May guys so I know it's premature.
Jeter will be out 2-3 months. I have Eduardo Nunez and Ramiro Pena platooning at SS right now but I would love an "if it were the real Yankees" perspective.
Jeter essentially would be back around the time the non-waiver trade deadline passes. So my question:
Should I stick with Nunez/Pena for now, and go FA hunting or trade hunting around the earliest mid-late June? Or would the Yanks go FA hunting immediately for a long injury like this?
Or any other possibilty I'm missing?
I need a stop-gap, so we'll see how those two do. But what is realistic in a situation like this for NYY?Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

I don't think so considering the Jays are giving Drabek every chance to stay in the rotationSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Jose Reyes has been a bum all season leading off and hitting in general. I want to trade him, but i really like his speed and defense. So i'm looking for a replacement shortstop and maybe another MLB player or two. I like Asdrubal Cabrera, Yunel Escobar, Erik Aybar, Elvis Andrus, Derek Jeter, and Omar Vizquel(for late game defense)
idc about realism I just care if it's a fair trade.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
How are the Rangers doing? You could go after Josh Hamilton. I've heard rumors he might not resign with the Rangers so it wouldnt be too much of a stretch if they're out of contention for whatever reason.
Or Grady Sizemore. Still very good on the game and doesn't have all the injury concerns.
Edit: Just thought of another possibility, a guy I really like, Chris Young of the D-Backs if they're out of contention.Last edited by CKW11; 04-20-2012, 07:39 PM.Comment
