Well I did that anyways, and boy was it a mistake. He was terrible in the field at the hot corner for me, basically ruined a terrific start by my young ace in my last game single handedly before I moved him back to RF and got whoever I could to play a decent third base.

i personally wouldn't have done it but if Gordon pans out and stays with u long-term....i would've liked to see what Delgado woulda done had u given him a chance but that's just me.......Not the worst trade in the world however

no chance the Yanks do a Soriano for Robertson trade......Robertson is a lockdown set-up guy

I'm with the RedSox, just started spring training. I have signed Oswalt and Soler, but that's all. My problem is selecting the 5th starter and what shoul I do with the rest?

I have the 1,2,3,4 starters set in stone:

          1. Lester
          2. Beckett
          3. Buchholz
          4. Oswalt

          After them I have:

Bard (I'm not decided If he will be a starter or not)
          DiceK
          Lackey

So should I pick DiceK or Lackey over Bard, and I put Bard back to the bullpen. Or should I pick Bard, but what will I do with Lackey and DiceK then?

Of course everything depends on the performances in spring training (I plan to play 3/4 of spring training).
Off the top of my head, i'd go with Bard....DiceK has not lived up to the hype since he arrived and Lackey is grossly overpaid and underperformed

Do you think I could reasonably get him? I was thinking Bailey straight up or packaging him with Didi but with Tejada I don't think they would value a high prospect SS.

im pretty sure the Mets would listen to Bailey for Murphy but they really like his bat and wanna keep him....However him leaving would create a void at 2B....where would u play Murph if u acquired him?

I know it's VERY early and the Marlins just paid him all that money. A couple more performances like that though and I'll need a new closer.
Sorry i had to laugh when i saw the ERA over 100...but on a serious note, u def gotta give him more chances....2 appearances don't make or break u

I had the same thought about trying to get Gordon from KC and then someone mentioned Rasmus from Toronto which I thought was a great idea. I feel the need to upgrade in LF and I love have Hinske (LHB) off the bench and Pradoo (utility guy) still on my team. The Braves have a boatload of pitching prospects that you can tempt teams with, so it's really up to you as to who you want to trade away.

After finding sliders that fit me (thanks A&S) and now that these kick butt rosters have been released I've started a Braves franchise. I am practicing in a few ST games since I was playing mainly RTTS in recent weeks just to get back into the feel of an "actual" game.

One thing I did early on in ST, is I signed Aaron Rowand and I've been mixing and matching my OF rotation, playing Rowand in LF a lot. He's a solid, might be a stretch of the word, RHB. As the Spring wears on, I will see how comfortable I am going into the season with Rowand as an option and if I don't like it then I might try to pull the trigger on a deal, but for right now it's working!!

What do the Yankees got for an OF prospect? If I could get a potentially good RP, and a MLB ready OF, I'd give up Garza. Unless they'd want someone more like Travis Wood or Randy Wells.

are u a Brett Gardner or Nick Swisher fan?....although Garza's good, the Yanks are not lookin for front-end help especially with Pettite waiting in the wings, im not even sure that they're actively lookin for SP's IRL so scratch Robertson for the time being....Luke Gregerson from the Padres is one of the better set-up guys in the league and they could use Garza...as for MLB-ready OF'ers, they just signed Maybin to an extension so unless u like Will Venable, ur outta luck

I am the White Sox and I am pretty interested in David Wright. I have a pretty young 3B, but I don't think he is of the same caliber and Wright. I think the middle of my line up would like pretty nice going Fukudome, Konerko, Dunn, Wright (thank God this isn't real life).

Do you think Morel is a decent enough prospect to do it straight up? Consider the Mets situation.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I'll be starting my Mariners/Pirates franchise soon and I need to start developing a strategy for the Pirates (definitely want to be fair, less concerned about realistic). My first priority is finding a long-term solution at SS & 1B and a younger, corner outfielder with some pop. I've looked at Michael Taylor on the A's and Mark Trumbo on the Angels. I'd really like either the 1B or outfielder to be left-handed.

I have very few untouchables. At the MLB level, I'd like to keep McCutchen (Andrew, of course), Walker, and Alvarez. The prospects I want to keep are Cole, Marte, Grossman, and Sanchez. I'd prefer to also keep one of Taillon or Bell.

                        Any suggestions? Thanks!

You'll need to give up a lot for Wright, cornerstone of that team.

There are a lot of nice players out there, it's just a matter of getting them. How young is young? If we're taking under 25, the list is small, but if you want under 30, there a loads of options.

What would it take to pry Zimmerman away from the Nats? If I have to part with Garza, Bitters (B prospect) and another B prospect or maybe even Byrd?

i def like the Trumbo idea....but with the prospects u wanna keep, it'll be really difficult...i was gunna offer Marte(with Wells being an albatross and Hunter's age) along with another B prospect.....for Taylor, i'd ship 2 B's(with one preferably being a corner IF)
