Mauer is a great catcher but I'm not sure that deal makes sene for them being as Ackley and Montero are just getting ready to hit their stride and be great for many years. Ship him to a team that would take him and give you a great haul of prospects in return

What about Montero and Ackley for Mauer? I just really don't like the guy.

Mauer has one of the worst contracts in baseball. The Mariners would never make this trade.

the guy above me nailed it.....Mariners wouldn't trade a guy they JUST traded for......But getting back to ur first inquiry, u can trade Morneau to the Brewers for an A,B, and C.......then u can ship Liriano, Span, and Capps off to the Mets for an A and two B's

Need suggestions for my Rangers franchise once . I will probably want a true Ace(yes i know, Yu mania etc., but I still need an anchor as I will want to move Feliz & Ogando to the Bullpen. Maybe I will sign Roy Oswalt.

So it would be

Holland
Lewis
Harrison

I wouldnt mind moving Harrison to the bullpen or even giving up Scooter Feldman. But I would still like a true Ace to anchor for the playoffs.


Also I am looking for a good speedy defensive with contact LF that is also left handed. I like the sound of Leonys, but I want someone more reliable.

When you start a franchise and you turn trading off... you can't turn it back on right before the deadline?

So just got the new rosters and I wanted to be the worst team in the AL (Orioles) to see if I could do well with them.

I made all these moves before spring training ended......

-I did a 3 for 1 trade of crap players to get me some roster room
-Signed Soler and Oswalt
-trade Roberts for Shield (yep, they did it)
-trade O'Day and Hammel for Uehara
-Signed Okajima (got two really good lefties now)
-trade Chavez for Manny Rameriz
-traded 3 D prospect bums for Rivera (WHY WOULD THEY ACCEPT?)
-signed Zumaya and Pudge

and the final blockbuster on the last day

trade Dana Eveland and Aarmando Galarraga

for

I am trying to be pretty realistic. As of now, I have signed Oswalt, Damaso Marte( I need a left hander since Oliver left, dont like Mike Gonzalez after this past post season) I signed Zumaya, Hawpe(like the rangers did IRL), I signed Pudge(nostalgia and i want him to retire as a Ranger), and Soler.

I traded away Yorvit for Scott Hairston(his ability to play second attracted me to him, and second stint as a Ranger). I may need a Utility player incase an infielder gets hurt. I noticed Carlos Guillen, Tejada, and the O Dog sitting in free agency. Was thinking of getting O dog purely for his defense as i have enough pop.

What do you think ill have to give up to get Gardner or Johnson?

Marlins wouldn't give up Johnson (well, not yet) if ur being realistic but i'd say 2 A prospects and a B, more likely 3 A's...and for Gardner, a B and C

SMH! how do you guys get these trades in... i can't trade grady sizemore for anything. The trade block doesn't work either.. man i'm so not used to this game.. i hate to say it and i know everyone is going to try and stone me now but at a time like now i like mlb 2k better than the show(not gameplay wise)

Well sizemore isn't worth alot. Some players aren't worth a thing either because they are old or have to large of a contract.

I said I couldn't get anything for him.. like the computer wouldn't even give me a c prospect for him. Nobody is interested in Choo either.
