Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I can't get anything from the CPU because it is so early. I will probably try to make some deals at the end of June. I wanted to Grandal and Venable for Duda but they weren't interested.
I'll probably call up Nieuwenhuis (Yes I looked it up) and start spot starting him until then.Comment

Ya I have to agree that's their future catcher and a solid big leaguer there for a guy who is solid but nothing specialComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Enough people have been talked about in this thread, but doing a search brings up no trade value for James Shields. I use 30 team control and Detroit wants Shields in the worst way, but want to give up Turner and Castellanos for Shields and Rodney. If I was to make a trade for Detroit what kind of stuff am I looking at to make if fair for both teams?Comment

Edit: try catching prospect named McCann he's a high C prospect from Arkansas add him in and see what happensLast edited by bugle987; 05-02-2012, 11:24 PM.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
McCann is a B in the OS Spring Training rosters. What I was thinking is MCcann instead of Castelannos since the Rays need a catcher prospect and not really a 3rd prospect with Longoria there along with Detroit not needing a Catcher prospect so much with Avila there. If I went that route what else would I have to add? Another B? 1B Aaron Westlake is a B and almost ML ready according to his ratings and with Prince there not really needed along with Pena's age. That seems pretty good. A & 2 B's for Shields... What do you think?Last edited by Sacrafice; 05-02-2012, 11:55 PM.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Sorry for continuing to blow this thread up but I'd like some opinions before I make trades.
A's get: RP Greg Holland (B), RP Louis Coleman (B)
Royals get: SP Dallas Braden (B), RP Trey Barham (C)Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
A's are getting better part of the deal here unless Braden pitches how he did in his perfect game very gameComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm the Twins and I'm pretty much done in terms of making the playoffs.. I need to start stacking talent so I have to trade: Justin Morneau (hitting .330 2nd in hits in the AL, 19 home runs top 5 of the AL, and 52 RBIs top 5 in the AL as well) Morneau ( B potential ) is competing for the triple crown this season.
Josh Willingham ( B potential ) is deffiently expendable, hes htting .200 with 13 home runs and 38 rbis. Denard Span ( B potential ) can also be had hes 3rd in the AL in steals and the top 5 in base on balls, but is only hitting .232.. I'm also looking to move Jamey Caroll ( Maybe B potential ? ) hes hitting .250 but I believe hes first in the running for Gold Glove at SS.
Valencia ( B potential ) and Alexi Casilla ( I think B potential ) could also be moved but i'd be fine with keeping both of them ( Valencia is hitting .262 and is top 5 in doubles in the AL, and Alexi is hitting .273 fielding well and has 9 stolen bases. )
Pitchers I'd like to trade are, Carl Pavano ( B potential) 3.42 era and averages 6.8 K/9. Liriano ( B potential ) who averages 5 k/9 and has a 4.89 era. Also could trade Blackburn ( B ) and Marquis ( B ) but most likely wouldnt get anything...
I'm looking for pitching deffiently, relief and starting.. At 1B i have parmelee ( B ), 2nd I have rosario ( B ) coming up, SS I have Dozier ( B ) and Levi Michael( B ), 3rd I have Sano ( A ), C I have Mauer, In the OF I have Revere ( B ), Hicks ( B ), Benson ( B ), Arcia ( B )
So with all the players I'm looking to move what should I look to get, Also looking to dump Perkins.. High overall lefty with C potential, maybe package him and Caroll together for a B potential lower overall reliever?
Red Sox, Yankees, Rays, Tigers, Indians, Angles, Rangers, Philies, Braves, Cardinals, Brewers, Giants, Dodgers, Diamondbacks ( The wild card is extremely tight in both leagues. )Comment

I think Grandal and Venable are worth more than just Duda alone. Try adding in another prospect (or two) that you don't care too much about and see if it goes through.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Aren't Castelanos and Turner Detroit's two best prospects? I think I'd do that trade in a heartbeat, actually. Turner should fill out nicely over the next few years, and you can always trade Castelanos if you don't have a position for him. He should bring back more than the Shields/Rodney combination. I have done this a couple of times during my franchise - I just "pretend" it is a three-way deal, since the game won't let you do those.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Thanks for helping me in the right direction. I think it's fair. 3 strong guys they will most likely be able to use for 1. Shields is 30. If he was a couple years younger I could see having to throw in the other A prospect. Also getting needs is a plus that helps tip the scales.
