Alright, maybe I should just target a C prospect? Dodgers needs say they need another 2B

I was looking at Jeff Keppinger, he's on a cold streak and the Rays already have Zobrist. Maybe that'd be realistic

that's not a bad idea although Keppinger plays 2nd against lefties while Zobrist moves to right

Does this trade seem fair for both sides?

          Orioles Receive:

          SP Yovani Gallardo
          RF Kentrail Davis

          Brewers Receive:

          RF Nick Markakis
          SS Manny Machado

Unless you are confident that you'll be able to find another young superstar short stop, I would not trade Machado. On top of that, Gallardo won't help the Orioles that much, as they have more problems than just an ace pitcher. Try to find another trade that doesn't involve shipping off Machado. Check out Matt Garza.

Considering Machado is a top 5 Prospect and Gallardo isn't even a top 25 pitcher I'd say no.

I talked to nofatgurlz and I will help out with the prospect part of trades. I know prospects and the minors very well. Hope I can help.

i think Gallardo is the fringe of the top 25 but regardless, i agree

I would go Peavy, Zambrano, Vargas, Lannan, Minor/Jurrjens, Lilly, Zito, J. Sanchez, Scherzer, one of those kinds of players. Sanchez would he the least realistic, followed by Zambrano and Scherzer. The rest are fair game. There's a good chance Peavy will be dealt in June, Zito would take a cardboard cut out of a player, 99% chance Lannan gets traded, Lilly doesn't follow the Dodgers' rebuild plan (IF they aren't contending), and one of Minor and Jurrjens will be dealt to make room for prospects. One of them would he most realistic. I would also recommend you get a bat.

Sorry for the essay. Hope that you found my post useful.

Lannan would probably get killed, I like Peavy, and Jurrjens seems good too.

Before I could pull the trigger on a deal for Yunel Escobar the Giants beat me to it, so I'm looking at other options. Here's one:

A's get: 2B Gordon Beckham, C Hector Gimenez
White Sox get: 1B Chris Carter, SS Cliff Pennington, SP Travis Banwart

I don't want to give up C.C. but I have Brandon Allen who is hitting .306 with 6 HRs and 20 RBI. Pennington I couldn't care less about losing because I'll have Beckham at his natural position shortstop for years to come and I have Yordy Cabrera in the minors. Banwart I just threw in because I just drafted two A potential starters.

Beckham is currently hitting .252 with just 1 HR so a trade isn't unrealistic. Combined with his real life average of .230 last season he has struggled for much of his MLB career and with 3+ years of service Chicago could be ready to move on.
