Jeter will retire a Yankee and be a HoF as a Yankee

A-Rod...how about the Dodgers if he can hold up for playing in the field every day

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Alright guys almost at the all-star break as the trade line is approaching I'm faced with some tough decisions and need some help. I'm currently out of the wildcard race but feel like I can pull through in the second half mainly because I have the number one avg in baseball and lead in steals. But Further looking into my games when my team gets down by 4 runs I'm 2-12. Being a small ball and fast twins team that I have made with so far very poor pitching second to last in baseball its been an up and down first half.

So far James Mcdonald as worked out alright currently 1-1 with a 4.24 era after I traded for him.

My big question is what would a player like Francisco Liriano be worth if I was to dump him before the deadline?

Also as the weeks go on I'm still feeling like if I had that one power bat I could rly make a run next season. That it came to me Josh Hamilton and how the rangers right now our really iffy about giving another long term huge contract. I was wondering what it would take to trade for a player like him? I have no problem doing a trade twice with the team to give them 4-5 players.

That is what I thought for Liriano.

They our currently leading my division by 6 1/2. Josh missed April and is currently batting .243 not having a strong year so far. Rangers bottom of there rotation has been more atrocious then mine lol

Alright so far the teams that I have found that our 10+ games back that id be willing to make a trade with would be the White Sox , Mariners , Indians and the Phillies. Only really player I would be interested from on the M's would be ichiro and that would mainly just give me another really soild contact hitter nor the power hitter I'm looking for. As for the other teams who do you feel would be most likly to move?

I was wondierng, has anybody here had a trade accepted when the blue bar is full, but it says the usual "this is not what our team is looking for." ect.
I have tried to make a trade this way a couple times but they were ultimately rejected.

Also I posted this a day or two ago i another thread, should've posted it here. I am 22 - 12 in my first year of my Braves franchise, have a 1 game lead on Philly, 2 on Miami, I play every game.

My pitching has been good, except for Jair Jurrjens. He is 1-4 with an ERA close to 8 (just like real life!). Also, I just don't feel comfortable pitching with him, if that makes sense. I just can't get in a groove when I pitch with him.

Cleveland has multiple injuries, and is willing to trade me Ubaldo Jimenez for Jurrjens, Coby Rasmus(who i had aquired to replace Bourn next year, but I'm going to try and resign Bourn) and either Venters or O'Flaherty.

Jimenez is an A overall, Jurrjens is a B Overall and Potential, Rasmus is a C Overall but an A Potential, Venters is an A and O'Flaherty is a B Overall and Potential.

Jurrjens is a free agent and I don't plan to resign him. I kinda feel like I'm fleecing Cleveland. What do you guys think? I would rather trade O'Flaherty, but it's kinda a toss up as he and Venters perform the same for me.

Feels like a hefty price to pay for Ubaldo. Sure he's good but I'm sure you could land much better prospects for both Jurrjens and Rasmus if you were to trade them separately. I understand you need some established MLB starting pitching in exchange and probably wouldn't mind a prospect on the side?

How are the Reds doing? I'm thinking you might be able to net Homer Bailey, Todd Frazier (could replace Chipper at 3B) and a pitching prospect for Jurrjens and Rasmus.

Why trade Rasmus? Can't he play LF for you next year if Bourns stays in CF? Prado moving to the IF?

Between Venters and O'Flaherty, I'd keep Venters.

Bet you could get Jim Thome from the Phillies dirt cheap. Shelley Duncan from the Indians?

If not, you have Dunn and Hafner like mentioned in a previous post.

I'm the Brewers and Aramis Ramirez just went down for 2 months. Want to bring in Mark Reynolds so my power hitting doesn't miss a beat. What would I need to give up for him?
