Why? He's a solid receiver and maybe the best catch-and-thrower in the minors, with a CS% of 54% in 106 attempts. He should start in AA next year and will only be 23... I'd still give him a C+, but it would be coupled with a high floor and he can be had for cheap or in a package deal.
I think Hedges had a catch and throw time of 1.8 seconds.
Guys won't even run on him!

I think he has better tools than Mathis, but yeah, somewhere along those lines.

Hedges is too damn good... He's already a plus/plus fielder and thrower and should be able to hit for a decent average with 10-15 HR's (aka an all-star catcher). He's definitely an A at this point, not sure if you're willing to part with the pieces necessary to get him.

Easy A. What pieces were you thinking? Bonifacio + Buehrle?

Cincy won't budge on Billy Hamilton.
The "problem" is....they are out of it...but they are a really solid team and have only one need...RP, something I myself could use.
                I
Gose...whose speed and stealing skill is VERY intriguing, doesn't have a MLB ready bat yet, or the skills for leading off for an MLB team right now.

I traded for a little OF depth last night .....a minor deal for the moment....

                Jordan Shafer CF (HOU)
                for
Josh Rodriguez SS (C potential, but progressed nicely)

I may switch gears and look for my leadoff hitter at SS instead of CF and just try and get a very good defensive CF.
(my current SS is JJ Hardy...who has been REALLY solid for me the last 3 years...but is falling off a bit.)

The Kentrail Davis experiment is over for the moment.
Without him getting on base...and his defense is pretty poor(not a real CF for sure) and having Duda/Snider in LF.....I really need some good D out there.

So...any suggestions on good SS who could lead off?

                M.K.

                  Jose Reyes?

Jimmy Rollins? Zack Cozart? Josh Rutledge?

Actually, screw it, why not Dee Gordon?

Reyes has too big of a contract for me.
Rollins has fallen off the charts...
The Dodgers are leading the West.

Cozart or Rutledge....I'll check them out.

What would it take to get Bonifacio & Mujica from Miami? Either together individually. They are in 3rd place 6 back in late May. I know it's a little early but my BP is struggling and i could use some speed.

                        Thanks.

Bonifacio is a low B and Mujica a high C in my book. Remember to offer the Marlins inexpensive youth in return.

Edit: AC has Bonifacio valued at one mid B, one high C and one low C. Mix that with my take and end up paying one low B and one high C?

Really? I didn't think I had put *any* low C's in the third value bar as they're mainly relief/bench trading chips. Should just be Mid B / High C.

Sorry I haven'tbeen around this weekend guys, double XP on Black OPs, what can I say?

Knight--check out Alcides Escobar from the Royals. I don't know how they've been doing and he wouldn't be one to touch now but maybe things worked out in your franchise that you could get him? Good contact, speed, doesn't walk much so he might be more of a #2, defense is terrific.

AC--Wil Myers and Bryce Harper were converted from catching because their bats play now. Myers might be a good option? PIT had a prospect C who didn't look bad. TEX alo if they didn't trade him this year (I can't remember for sure). I doubt SD looks to get rid of Hedges unless you can upgrade their SS maybe. They've got Spangenberg and what's his name who can play 3B/2B, plus a plethora of decent utility guys.

As for the spreadsheet--I definitely trust you are on the right track and know where to go with this. Thanks for the props.

                                Anything I miss?
