i believe u said 5 A's for Cutch? if that's the case.......maybe it's just me but if some team is willing to give me 5 high/mid A's depending on the prospects, i'd seriously have to consider it

I gave 4 A's and Ellsbury... thing is, Ellsbury is a rental... if they could sign him long term then the OP could probably get a nice prospect back with him though.

i wouldnt want Ells or the money tied up that would go along with it....gimme 5 top-tier A prospects(if indeed that's what u believe he's worth), and the OP can have Cutch

What money tied up? Ells is on the last year of his deal and the only reason PIT would make this trade.

PIT still wants to compete, and without Cutch, they can't. However, if got Ellsbury back, a high quality CF who has a similar ceiling to Cutch (though a much lower floor), along with restocking the farm, they'd do it in a heartbeat.

the contract extension that would be need to be given after the trade...so if im getting this right, u'd essentially be replacing Cutch's contract with Ells' while adding 3/4 prospects?

Too bad no one else besides those two is worth an ace.

EDIT: Unless you give up Will Middlebrooks

So if you want an ace, you're looking at giving Barnes + WMB + one of those two (Bogaerts or Pedroia).

Just an idea, I guess Yovanni Gallardo wouldn't be stupidly unrealistic.
