I see where you're coming from, I really do, so I'll help you out, but you and the Rangers don't really match up. Who do you REALLY want from San Diego?

I lived there while in the USMC, so they are my homer NL team. Grandal I just love playing with, Erlin is someone I could use and do well with, Stauffer is a shorter term playoff help, and Maybin was an afterthought to poach.

And because I feel bad for AC...

Grandal's awesome, but just got traded for a big name guy. He will take ALOT to pry away. Maybin is in his 20s and is an A. He'll be harder to pry away. If you want both it will possibly take AT LEAST 5-6 of your B's.

Let's take out Stauffer and Maybin. SD's needs are SPs, mIF, and 1B (unless I'm an idiot).

Grandal ----- Jake Peavy + Adam Dunn? You guys really don't have many pieces worth an A. There's a bit of surplus value here.

You're welcome but I did it for myself and my own reasons...
Grandal is awesome and he was one of 3-4 really good players to get Latos. He isn't necessary, I just love the guy.
I am in playoff push mode. SD is continuing to rebuild. Hence, I give up prospects for ML players. I can't give up Dunn, Alexei, Beckham, et al. Stauffer is a decent pick up for me. I can give up Floyd/Humber because I'm just not good with them and they are very similar stuff wise. I'm thinking that I might just give up and look elsewhere.
Edit: Viciedo is one I probably undervalue, I only use him against LHP. My needs are a SP and LF. Schierholtz would be great in LF against RHP.

You cannot be a legit "seller" come the deadline unless you get super drafts.

Chris Hawkins is really your only top prospect, so Grandal is a little out of reach.

In other news, Totte has done a crap-tonne (yes, that's how we spell ton here) of work on the spreadsheet with the set up, and I've poured in about 400-500 player values out of 800ish, so the spreadsheet should be released as a Beta 1.0 by Friday night.

Yea, I'm actually 2 parts Canadian! My Great-Great-Grandma is from Vancouver and my Great-Great-Great-Grandpa is from Fort Qu'Appelle Saskatchewan.

Yeah, and Hawkins is slotted to take over for Rios in a couple of years so I can't move him. I'm not really seeing a choice but to run this like Kenny Williams has for now, thin. Keeping Flowers isn't the worst thing in the world. Grandal is just a favorite to watch despite the PEDs.

If you're good with that, I could do it.

Stupid fact I learned at some point, the first US peeps wanted to make English sort of their own as they could so they changed some spellings (mostly removing the letter u in words like colour).
