True. Question is if the Cubbies would want Thole in return? They have Castillo and Clevenger. Guess you could ship Thole and a C to the Cubbies as they'd probably wanna dump Soto if they're out of contention

How about Ryan Hanigan? He's still fairly young, at least compared to a dinosaur like Olivo

Sure. I'd give them your back up catcher (not Thole) and a C because they have Mesoraco.

Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

Fair price to pay. Could turn out to be a steal if Hanigan gets it going at Citi Field

I am the Royals and it is now June. I traded for David Price earlier in the year. But now Price isn't pitching so well and its going to cost me about half of my available payroll space to keep him and I need that money elsewhere. I was thinking about Gio Gonzalez in just a one for one swap. I would was just curious as to what other people think.

I'm the royals looking to bring an ace or a 2 guy on a team to be my ace. I know we have loads of young pitching, but I need that guy at the top. Who is the most likely to be traded? And for what? I mean anyone from Ervin Santana to Chad Billingsley... Or better

Luke Hochevar, Johnathan Sanchez, Billy Butler and I suppose Hosmer (I would NEVER get rid of him for even Roy Halladay) can all be traded for like an Edwin Jackson type pitcher but you need to throw in some mid level prospects. Its so hard to get a top starter without destroying the farm system. However earlier in my season, I traded Billy Butler for David Price and Desmond Jennings. I have seen a lot of trades for top pitchers involve Bubba Starling as well.

Your best bet is to deal Butler and maybe a pitching prospect for an ace and a bat that can maybe fill Butler's spot but Clint Robinson does that pretty well if you want to look internally.

I like getting rid of starling. I have vernon wells, so maybe I can deal Cain also, and maybe a potential prospect... Idk for who though.

The butler for price and Jennings isn't very realistic though. Check out my Bumgarner trade a few pages back, and I traded away prospects, but I had a better one at each position! Or check it out n my link of my franchise in my signature, I think it's on page 7 of my dynasty!

How about Garza, relatively realistic and wouldn't cost you a huge load probably just 3 good B's

That would not be smart, Wells is terrible and due to retire pretty soon

That trade is so unrealistic, so if your looking pull off another trade like that your not gonna find any help on this thread

I also have Jerrod Dyson, Lorenzo Cain, and a B outfielder than I currently use as a backup that came over with Vernon Wells. So losing anyone one of Starling, Dyson, or Cain really isn't too harmful to my team.

I like the Garza idea, but would something more realistic be Ryan Dempster? Edinson Volquez? I really like Garza though too. What about someone like Ervin Santana who hasn't had such a great season this far?
