I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Brown is their #1 prospect for sure and Panik is currently their #4.
It definitely feels like I am getting the best of it by far, especially when it comes to long term value.
I have not accepted the trade yet and I probably won't.Comment

Yeah Burriss is just a throw in on their part as with Zobrist they wouldn't need him anyway.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I need a trade involving Dempster in my Cubs franchise. The arbitration thread has given me no luck, not even a response. I'm 5-16 and Dempster is 2-3 on the year.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Need a quick response:
It's July 31st and I need to figure out what I can do to make my 1st place Brewers team a sure fired World Series favorite (I have instant trades on).
These are the two trades I'm looking into and need not only a opinion on if they are good for my team, but also if I should tweak them at all:
Brewers trade: SS Clint Barmes (decent vet), A prospect SP, and C prospect RP
Astros trade: SS Jed Lowrie (B and good spot starter), and C prospect RP who can reach high 90s on the radar gun.
Astros are the worst team in the league and wanted a good switch hitter and defender off the bench for more quality hits.
Brewers trade: A prospect SP, B prospect RP (both MLB ready within a year)
Cubs trade: Matt Garza
It's impossible to trade for Lowrie without giving up an A SP but I want him pretty bad and I'm just wondering if getting another SP is worth anything.
My pitching rotation is:
Greinke
Gallardo
Marcum (Cy Young leading candidate)
Wolf
Narveson
Mostly just looking to beef up the back end of rotation and obviously Garza would do more than just that.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I don't. Dempster hasn't been throwing well for me, and looks like he needs to be on a winning team at this stage in his career. Also, Randy Wells is like 4-0 with a sub 1 ERA in AAA. I would like to give him one more shot and maybe up his trade stock by the deadline. Dempster is proven and can help a rotation, but isn't needed in mine.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Cincinatti is hot and leading the league, and could use help, because Bailey and Leake are really struggling. Cleveland and Baltimore are right in the race. Pittsburgh is above .500. San Diego is above .500 and needing pitching help. Philly lost Halladay for the year, so they are probably the favorite. Dempster just beat them as well in the last game.Comment
