yes but his numbers arent impressive and he'd be a rental would be bugle's reason

55 rbi's through the middle of august is not impressive...neither is the batting average or the contract....plus u'd have to pass him through waivers....why would u wait so long to trade him?

Because everyone else was cold and he was the only one who could hit and by time the team really started to heat up it was past the deadline and all the good players are gone.

I actually didn't see grienkes numbers what were they

4-8 with a mid 4 ERA i believe

i'd probably just wait till the offseason to see what teams can take on his contract and need a LF...cause right now i wouldn't give more then a couple of C's for him

yes.......his average is just that...55 rbi's through the middle of August is not impressive....and would u honestly pay him 16M in 2013?

btw...my opinion is strictly based on if im a small or average-market team..because a player under contract for multiple years is usually a positive but i doubt a team like the A's would take on Bay

well sure....the homers are indeed a nice number to look at but unless the Yanks, Red Sox, or a team like that needs a LF for their playoff push, it doesnt make sense from a financial standpoint and if Bay aint hittin a homer, he's pretty much worthless...evident by his rbi's
