Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Just my opinion real quick, the Cardinals would only trade Miller if he was doing bad, his value wouldn't go down in the game cause his stuff is still awesome. Taveras is untouchable, even if he's playing bad. Minor league stats don't matter for a developing 19 year oldComment

Want to move Josh Johnson as I'm gonna make a new franchise but sim a year and get some better prospects. What's a realistic haul? An A and a B?Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Good point. Granted, I think that the Cardinals had a better shot than the Phillies.
Yeah, that sounds about right."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
For my 892nd post in this thread (not a joke), what would Yovani Gallardo and Shaun Marcum be worth? Brewers aren't in contention by a long shot.
Gallardo: 88.1 IP, 2.14 ERA, 88:29 K-BB, 1.14 WHIP, 2.19 AVG.
Marcum: 67.1 IP, 3.07 ERA, 77:26 K-BB, 1.31 WHIP, .238 AVG.
Marcum is a rental, but I'd resign him. Well, maybe... Depends how my backstory plays out. Gallardo is locked up. 3 years, 8.5 per.
My thoughts are two low B's for Marcum, Three high B's / Low A, mid B, high C for Gallardo. Agree/disagree?
Anthony Gose/Henderson Alvarez/Moises Sierra for Gallardo
Dwight Smith Jr./Henderson Alvarez for Shaun Marcum
Alvarez is a mid-high B, I know, but I can't pitch with him..."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Fielder's gone, Grienke's gone, they're playing horridly- I'd think they're rebuilding, and I don't see why they wouldn't sell high on a good pitcher to stock up a barren farm system."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
they still have a halfway decent squad who can contend in 2013, no? and if they give up Gallardo, who has a reasonable contract, who the heck is gunna lead their rotation? Fiers?Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
It won't matter, because they're in rebuilding mode.... Ryan Braun is playing halfway OK, no one else doing a thing. They're 26-36, have lost two of their best three players, and aren't anywhere near contention."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

i get that....personally, i cant see them getting rid of both Greinke and Gallardo in the same year...Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I could, why not? If they realize they need to rebuild... Look at what Houston did. Got rid of 352085480 vets in one year."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Houston and Milwaukee are apples and oranges when it comes to possibly contending in 2013....and none of the guys that Houston got rid of are remotely close to Gallardo's caliber....not a fair comparisonSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Milwaukee is done. They don't have hitters, they have Marcum and Gallardo, and then crap. They won't be contending in 2013, 2014, or 2015."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

ehhhhh...u did say he had 3-year contract.....u dont think there's more of a likelihood of Gallardo being shopped in year 2?Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment
