Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

The unrealism of my Felix trade persuaded me to go back to last offseason. Since I am in need of a pitcher would the Royals signing Edwin Jackson in free agency be realistic enough?

Also since I need to make room for Myers does anyone have any ideas as where I should send Frenchy now?

I love following this thread but do what you will you want felix take him. you're exposed to trades like these. it's fun getting someone that will most likely go to your team
Brian Kelly will have ND back this year.

Arizona State will bounce back this year too.

The Cubs will end the streak next year

I know threaded was unrealistic. Not denying that, just wanna play with king Felix. I do think Seattle will trade him in the next year tho. Thanks for the support. I am torn on what to do, having Felix makes me feel like a bit of a cheater lol.

Having went back and seeing Jackson there may work out as well.

I live in Royals country and they are planning on signing a free agent pitcher coming offseason so I would say yes. Or are you asking about last offseason?

              The 2012 offseason.

              My rotation would be:
              Jackson
              Duffy
              Hocheaver
              Montgomery
              Odorizzi

I don't know the whole story of your franchise. I know that the Royals IRL believe that they are set in the field but need improvement on the mound. If they get that, they believe that KC will be AL Central champs. They may be willing to take on Felix's salary if he is truly the final piece. But, for it to be realistic, Seatlle's young team will still need to be too slow to make adjustments, not doing well, and not foreseeing success prior to Felix leaving in a couple of years. Hultzen, Taillon, et al will need to not be the answer and then they would consider a reset and would take 3 A's for him, not 2 A's and Frenchy and it would need to be the offseason coming after the upcoming one.

Lost to the Angels in the playoffs. Much like the real royals I can match up with good rotations so I needed an arm. Got felix cause he is my favorite pitcher but am looking for a bit more realism now.

Look at teams who are in rebuilding mode

Would the Mets give up on David Wright if their 22.5 back at the ASB? Jw.
Also, the Twins are 7 games out of the division and WC at the ASB. Is it too early for hem to sella.

The Mets would if he is not performing great and they are that far out--both variables have to exist.
Look at the Team Outlook page, I think it is called, for the Twins. If it says rebuilding then go for it. Otherwise, give them 2 more weeks to try and get hot before considering...my 2 cents and doesn't mean I'm right.

i take what the Team Outlook says with a grain of salt....but to answer the poster, i dont think 7 games is insurmountable...it just depends on how everything is shaping up

Yep, he is. I think he's the highest A in the Dodgers organization. At least on my roster set

I successfully went back to th 2012 offseason and accomplished what I set out to do. I still need some suggestions relating to where to deal frenchy.

                                5 man rotation
                                Edwin Jackson
                                Dan Duffy
                                Luke Hochevar
                                Mike Montgomery
                                Jake Odorizzi

Wouldn't mind an upgrade for my 5th starter. ANy pitchers I could go after for Frenchy?

                                Starting 9
                                C - Perez
                                1 - Hosmer
2 - Cuthbert (20 year old 3rd baseman converted to second base)
                                3 - Moustakas
                                SS - Escobar
                                LF - Gordon
                                CF - Cain
                                RF - Myers
                                DH - Butler

                                Bench-
                                Dyson (base stealer)
