...and E5 doesn't do it for you as a replacement? Hechavarria could carry the load if you're replacing Lawrie from within the system. Guess you've got someone like Casey Blake or Melvin Mora as FA options which isn't that exciting. You could probably get Juan Uribe from the Dodgers for a D prospect. He's got nice pop to make up for Lawrie and is someone you can hit in the 5-7 spots of your lineup

          A.) Wrong thread
B.) If you call him E5 again I will hunt you down
C.) He's the Braves, he ripped off the Blue Jays to get Lawrie.

I'm in support of Cory Schwartz and Fantasy 411 of MLB.com to rename him E and the amount of homers he hits this year. It's E42 now right?

Hopefully, it'll be 43 today- I'm at Rogers Centre right now!

Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

Read he's the DH tonight. I'm hoping for a nice streak to end the season. Would be nice to have E5 turn into E45

What could I get for Uggla?

His stats are about 310 average
                  9 Homers leading NL
                  About 20 Rbis

Sounds a bit early in the season to trade but I can understand you'd wanna try as sell high with that average. You looking to get a 2B in return or just take the best overall package and move Prado to 2B?

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I'm approaching the trade deadline in year 2 of a Diamondbacks franchise, but we will get to that later. First I want to list the trades that I completed in the offseason prior to year 2. (The first year was all simmed)

                      Trade 1:
Diamondbacks receive RP Aaron Crow (with plans of stretching to a starter)
                      Royals receive SP Trevor Cahill

The Diamondbacks were unsatisfied with Cahill's performance, and were turned off by the extension granted to Cahill by the previous regime. The Royals already have solid bullpen depth, and are in desperate need of quality starters while their prospects continue to develop.

                      Trade 2:
                      Diamondbacks receive CP Chris Perez
Indians receive 2 C prospects. (I can't remember what positions)

The Indians (hypothetically) were trying to move on from Chris Perez and his mouth. The Diamondbacks, having lost Putz in free agency, were happy to acquire the closer.

                      Trade 3:
                      Diamondbacks receive OF Domonic Brown
Phillies receive OF Gerardo Parra, 1 B Prospect, 1 C Prospect

The Phillies (hypothetically) were unimpressed with Brown after giving him all of the first season to finally prove himself. His numbers were below average, and management, as well as the Philadelphia fan base, had grown tired of waiting for Brown to blossom. The Diamondbacks jumped at the chance to see what Brown can do in a less stressful media market.

                      Thoughts?

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

As the Diamondbacks, I am tied for first at the end of July with the Rockies. The rest of the NL West are all within 3 games. At the beginning of the month, I thought I was going to be selling, but a hot July has me buying.

I'm in the market for a SP, backup C, utility guy, and possibly a veteran in the bullpen.

The first deal I am considering is SP Jeff Samardzija and OF/2B Eric Young Jr from the Cubs. Would the Cubs be willing to deal Samardzija? They're 8 games out of the division and 11 games out of the wild card. The package would likely be 3B Chris Johnson, SP Wade Miley, and a B pot SP prospect.

If it's unrealistic for the Cubs to move Samardzija I will pursue either SP Ricky Nolasco and C John Buck or SP Roy Halladay from the miserable Phillies. Philly has already dealt Jimmy Rollins as they're amidst a clear overhaul.

I think that if you were giving up Miley, they'd definitely trade Samardzija. but if I were you, I wouldn't trade Miley. Nolasco sounds good a good, somewhat cheap option.

What's a good landing spot for Grandy?

Preferably an NL team so maybe the Giants? The Braves or the Reds? Maybe get Gary Brown back from the Giants along with Heath Hembree? Get Tyler Pastornicky or Andrelton Simmons as SS insurance for Jeter from the Braves along with one of their young pitchers? A deal with the Reds seems a bit hard to swing if you still have A-Rod on the team as I'd love to see Todd Frazier come over to the Yankees to play 3B...got a man crush on Drew Stubbs so maybe Frazier, Stubbs and a tired reliever who can fill out the bullpen and mop up some innings.

Helping out a buddy in Scotland who lives for the AA Trenton Thunder and therefore has to live with the Yankees as the MLB organisation

Thanks for the replies. The main reason Miley is included in these deals is because he's severely under achieving this season. His era was around 7.00 through June, and he's been in AAA since. I feel like he's tradeable because of the young arms Bauer, Skaggs, and Hudson.

I think I will try for Samardzija because he's a guy I would take a shot at resigning. It'd be nice to kill two birds with one trade (Nolasco and Buck), but I guess I'll have to send a prospect over for just Buck.

Miley for Nolasco and Buck straight up? You'd be eating plenty of cash from the fish but I prefer getting Nolasco over Samardzija.

How about Miley, Chris Johnson and another C pitching prospect for Dallas Braden and Kurt Suzuki?
