Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Buster Olney is says he wouldn't be suprised if the following aren't traded for pitching. Alex Gordon, Eric Hosmer, Billy Butler, Mike Moustakas. The Mariners, A's or the Dbacks could be a target.
This has me wondering what do you think the value of these players are?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm not familiar with the values of these guys.what's their stats?
Blind predictions:
Gordon(traded for him in my 'chise, doing awessome):1 low A/high B pitcher and mid B
Hosmer: A and high B
Butler: High B, mid B, lowB
Moose: High B, mid B
To be honest I really can't tell. but if you want to take one you need to give up a pitching prospects.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I feel like something important is being misunderstood here: middle relief pitchers are a dime a dozen, those are your Padillas, Rapadas, Delabars, etc., usually 2/3 of your bullpen consists of these guys. Those guys are usually worth 1-2 C's, but back end guys are worth a little bit more, and established closers are worth a lot more. Of course, age and contract matter, so someone like Kimbrel who is under team control for four more years and is already the best closer in the game, I could see the Braves asking for a lot in return, an A and a B probably isn't enough.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
My original thought of 2 mid-B's may be a little high. I just think that he is highly valued by the Yankees because they don't exactly have the most depth in relief pitching. He's also very young (especially for a relief pitcher) and has a decent amount of upside.
I would probably say low B/mid C for him. If he wasn't on the yankees.. maybe less, but I feel like he's pretty valuable to them right now.Denver Broncos

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So what are your guys thoughts on the Twins and Giants trade rumor. Sounds like theres a very slight chance the Giants trade Lincecum to shed his salary, plus theres concern with his drop in velocity. Seems like the trade would center around Denard Span for Tim Lincecum.
I know its unlikely and probably won't happen. But I just wanted to see what you guys thought of it. I think it'd be good for both teams, Giants get a proven lead off hitter and CFer while the Twins can finally get a guy with 'ace' stuff.Last edited by MattGarza13; 10-28-2012, 11:25 AM.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I keep hearing how Sabean wants to keep the magic from this year going into 2013 and therefore will be looking at retaining pretty much every piece of the team. I think the Giants first and foremost would move Lincecum to the pen rather than trading him given how he's a true fan favorite. I could see him being moved at the trading deadline though but that's IF the Giants are far out of it and Timmy isn't pitching like an ace. I think they'll go the FA route for their CF hole and Victorino is a fit as he wants to be on the west coast to have direct flight options back home to Hawaii to visit friends and famComment
