Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am. That's a little rich for my blood. I figured he is probably out of my price range but I'm looking for a cheap trade replacement for Soriano who retired.Comment

Rajai Davis from the Blue Jays could also be a nice pickup. The Blue Jays want pitching, so all you'd have to give is a few C pitching prospects. Bat him leadoff for a year and then sign a new guy.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Just LF. I'm keeping Stewart for 3B. He went 265/17/62 for me last year so unless the Cubs trade for someone quickly he's staying. I already picked up Keppinger on a 2 yr deal to platoon with him until Vitters is ready.
Id like to move LaHair in the deal who hit 291/22/78 and 38 doubles in a deal for LF. He played mostly right last year and I just cant take the defense this year. Mainly the arm.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Alright heres my situation, I'm 62 games in my current Twins franchise and im 8.5 back so things are not looking good for me.. Here are all of teams that are in the race..
White Sox, Indians, Royals, Mariners (Best record in the MLB??) Rangers, Rays, Blue Jays, Orioles, Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers, Giants, Padres, Cardinals, Reds, Phillies, Nationals.
I'm using Scotts Zips right after the draft I believe, (So I have Byron Buxton and stuff..) I've made 2 trades, 2 High C's for Blake Dewitt, 2 High B's for a struggling Matt Garza (Favorite pitcher)
Anyways heres what I have to sell..
Perkins RP 28 Y/O 1/1.0 Million 4.08 ERA 2 SV 31 SO 35.1 IP B overall/C Potential
Capps CP 28 1/3.4 Million 2.89 ERA 14 SV 13 SO 18.2 IP B overall/B Potential
Mauer C 28 Y/O 7/9.3 Million .241 3 HR 28 RBI B overall/A Potential (.997 fielding % has been getting really unlucky.. Smashes the ball)
Doumit C 30 Y/O 3/2.4 Million .278 9 HR 31 RBI C overall/C Potential
Morneau 1B 30 Y/O 2/5.2 Million .266 8 HR 24 RBI C overall/B Potential
Maybe Trevor Plouffe 3B 25 Y/O 1/120k .304 17 HR 37 RBI C overall/C Potential (Leads league in doubles with 22)
Willingham LF 33 Y/O 3/2.4 Million .295 14 HR 45 RBI B overall/B Potential
Span CF 28 Y/O 3/1.1 Million .226 0 HR 14 RBI 16 Stolen Bases C overall/B Potential (Unlucky, among starters he has struck out the least in the league with 24 and hes drawn 36 walks)
As you can see, 0 SPers because I have the worst rotation in the league! What I'm looking for is SP prospects, C prospect if Mauer is traded, and I'm not so set on SS I have Dozier but hes struggling this year.
Lastly, the CPU is trying to make a trade and I wanted to see your input on it..
Pirates trade (14 GB)
Clay Holmes (19 Y/O 6'5' lefty High C potential I believe)
Evan Meek (RP High C potential having a good season)
Jeff Locke (24 Y/O B potential SP doing alright)
Jose Tabata (A potential CFer, hitting .250 will start for the Giants)
Giants trade (2.5 GB)
Joe Panik (B Pot. SS)
A Villalona (B Pot. 1B)
Gary Brown (A OFer, similar stats as Tabata)
The original proposal was Panik and Villalona for Meek, Locke, and Tabata but I like this more. Both CF prospects can get a fresh start, Giants get some guys to help them contend and the Pirates get some much needed prospects.Last edited by MattGarza13; 11-17-2012, 11:39 AM.Comment

Ok, more power... Davis is a good bet, but Colby Rasmus from the Jays could also be a fit. He wouldn't be that expensive, but would add speed, power, and defense in a left field role.Comment
