Using the original OSFM ones, the Spring Training edition.

And I have computer trades on so incredible realism isn't a big factor to me, but fairness is.

Out of those, what do you think it'd take to get Capps, who is having a good year?

The twins would probably explore a trade for Morneau and maybe Mauer. It would cost a lt in game though!

I want to get a pitching prospect in return for Carl Pavano. He's 8-6 with a 2.86 Era on the year. Would it be fair to get a B potential pitcher from a contending team in return?

Depends on the team needs but two C's could prove to be more valuable and add more depth than one B

i just dont think Pavano is worth a B...always looked at him as a .500 pitcher...2 C's can surely help out the Twins

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Ok so I posted my trade in the wrong spot, I see that now.

Right now I am looking to upgrade at 3B, and SP.

I have a trade in the works with the Mets right now. I really want Gio Gonzalez and I can get him with just Jesus Montero. I was hoping to get a catcher out of it too and I threw in Pierzynkski as part of the deal. The bar is still full, not sure if it matters or not.

                    My rotation looks like this:
                    Strasburg 4-3 1.99 ERA
                    Kuroda 3-4 5.32 ERA
                    Leake 3-3 2.58 ERA
                    Zito 4-1 3.36 ERA
                    Harden 5-2 3.10 ERA

Montero is batting .298 5 HR and 29 RBI.

Gio Gonzalez is 6-2 with a 2.60 ERA.
Pierzynksi is batting .315 7 HR and 27 RBI

I was hoping I could get some feedback on this. I am also using just normal sliders, and normal MLB The Show Rosters.

I traded Sean Marshall and Chris Heisy to Boston for Carl Crawford. At first I thought it was totally unrealistic but if you think about it Boston needs a closer and Crawford has had a terrible start in Beantown.

I don't see why any team would part with Gio given how he seems to be pitching (6-2 with 2.60 era). To answer your question, I'd definitely leave AJ out of it and focus on Montero straight up for Gio

Yeah the deal feels somewhat fair given all circumstances. The only IRL holdup would be Crawford making like 20 mil/year and the Reds have just re-signed Votto and Phillips

Playing as the Yankees want to trade for Melky Cabrera. I'm in 1st place the Giants are in last, mainly because they can't put up runs.

I was thinking Raul Ibanez .320/9 HR/20 RBI and a C prospect like Melky Mesa for
                            Melky Cabrera .259/2 HR/ 15 RBI

No way, he's 27 years old just entering his prime an has been one of the better hitters in baseball the last 2 seasons. The guy is turning into a star.
