Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Alright I just want to see what people thought of the trades I made with the Twins, since I'm rebuilding.
Twins trade: Span B pot ( hitting near .300 more walks than strikeouts was 4th in SB and 1st for gold glove. )
Yankees trade: David adams B pot ( .260 8 hr 40 rbis ) Joba Chamberlin B pot( 5.00 era in AAA ) and Jose Campos B pot ( was in single A )
Twins trade: Valencia B pot and Glen Perkins ( B overall but C potential )
Rockies trade: Alex white B pot, Another B pot SP who had B velocity forget his name, and Hector Gomez C potential. ( 3B and Relief pitching has been horrid for the Rockies. )
Twins trade: Eddie Rosario B pot 20 Y/O, Oswaldo Arcia B pot, Levi Michael B pot 21 Y/O
Blue Jays trade: Brandon Morrow B pot. ( Needed a guy who can strike guys out and lead a rotation. )
Twins trade: Wilingham ( had big power numbers but thats about it )
Giants trade: meija ( Low B potential pitcher who was on a cold streak ) Giants are right in the race but have the worst offense in the NL. Wilingham has been a monster for them..
Twins trade: Carlos Gutierez B potential 23 Y/O, Joe Benson 23 Y/O B potential ( athletic ) Nishioka B pot 26 Y/O
Phillies trade: Dominic Brown A pot ( Was hitting .220 in AAA with no power. )Last edited by MattGarza13; 06-21-2012, 11:13 AM.Comment

Second trade; It's fair, and I like it for you.
Third trade; I'd hate it IRL, but it's fine in game if the Jays are out of it.
Fourth trade; It's fair, and pretty good for you.
Fifth trade; I wouldn't have given up Benson tbh.... if he was playing THAT bad."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

@ MattGarza13: regarding your trades, i'd rather substitute a C prospect for Joba as i think 3 B's are a bit too much for Span...nothing wrong with your 2nd trade....with the Jays trade, i dont see gutting a mediocre farm system for a hit-and-miss veteran as much sense....fine with your 4th trade....Phillies wouldnt want Nishioka in return so i'd probably substitute another prospectSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

First trade; It's fair, but I don't think Joba is a fit for you.

Yah the Jays are one of 2 teams totally out of it in the East.
I only gave up Benson too because he was blocked. I have a young and talented OF and I like Brown so I thought what the heck..Comment

Well to be fair my OF is stacked and I have my SS and 2B for the future already so I didn't need them as much. I wanted a guy that I could hold on to for 3-4 years and be a solid number 2.
and for the Phillies Polanco is hurt for 4 weeks. So I thought they'd want a super utility guy that can play pretty much any position.Comment

Yah I'd agree about the Joba statement he has a 5 era in the Majors for me.. But I look at it this way hes young and has nasty stuff. Hes a low risk high reward. He'll either die in the Minors or be a good setup guy.

I would've packaged Benson in a different deal for something better."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
