Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
how would u know though? depending on what their roster looks like in 2013, i'd give them a legit shot..Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Because they have two legitimate MLB hitters (Lucroy and Braun)! And it's not like they have anyone coming up, either."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Aramis would be comin back, as would Weeks and Hart...Gamel would be comin back from injury....i think you're sellin their offense a bit shortSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Gomez; .229/.256/.314
Aoki; .221/.285/.363
Braun; .304/.373/.477
Hart: .223/.300/.398
Ramirez; .260/.357/.391
Ishi: .229./.295/.367
Lucroy: .280/.329/.400
Gomez: .251/.265/.404
Weeks: .206/.306/.402
The have one good hitter, a few passable guys, and the rest are terrible. No one can get on base besides Braun!
Their pitching besides Marcum Gallardo:
Fiers: 3.82 ERA
Hollweg: 0-9, 8.89 ERA, 2.11 WHIP, .349 AVG. One of the worst seasons in history.
Wolf: 3.88 ERA
Their bullpen has been all guys under 3 of over 4 ERA, more or less."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
my point is, u dont know what next year MAY bring...is it automatic all those guys hit .200 again next year? plus u kinda made my point for me when u said there's nobody coming up....if nobody is ready to take a rotation spot, it makes even more sense for the Brewers to hold onto him for 2012....all im sayin is wait till trading deadline 2013 and see what position the Brewers are in
Also, what's the price on an underperforming K-rod for when my bullpen inevitably dies? One C? 4.75 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, .241 AVG, rental."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
But if they're rebuilding, they don't need anyone in his spot. It doesn't matter. I'd say, give it until July 31st 2012, and if thing aren't looking up, then make the trade, no?

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
one bad year doesn't necessarily put a team in rebuilding mode imo.....especially when u have guys who have a major-league track record comin back....i'd personally wait till June 2013 at the earliest to make a move for Gallardo but its obvious u dont agree so lol.......yep one C for K-Rod...dude i gave u a chitload of options for ur bullpen...u tellin me nobody has better numbers then K-Rod?
They've lost 2/3 of their best players, and they don't have much talent coming back. Could they all have MVP year? Yeah. Could they all continue to be crap like previous years? Just as likely.
The Brewers have no farm system, and an underperforming squad that'll never get them to be contenders. It's like being a mid lottery team in the NBA. Go out and stack up (which the Brewers can't exactly do), or rebuild. Gose/Smith Jr/Alvarez is a GREAT way to restock a farm system, adds three quality guys."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

I'm gonna agree with NFG. No way a team begins a full rebuild, Astros style one year after making the playoffs. It's really hard to sell that to a fanbase.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
One bad year, OK, but when you've lost Fielder AND Grienke? When you have the second worst farm system in the Show? When you're a middle of the pack team with a record just slightly better than the Astros?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I made the Saito trade, but he had a 6.60 ERA.... I always flat out DEAL with K-Rod, man.

Aramis may or may not be resigned, Weeks it playing horridly, Hart is good, and Gamel is OK. That doesn't equal playoff team."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Aramis has a 3-year contract so unless he suffered a career-ending injury, he'll be back.....guys are perfectly capable of having bounceback yearsSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
OK, Weeks is a .260 hitter with ~15-20 HRs, Aramis getting up there (and, once again, may not be resigned), and Gamel could be a decent player. But that doesn't make a playoff team. Marcum is a rental, too, he might not even be back. They don't have depth, they don't have a farm system, and they don't have much MLB talent..."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
