For myself I usually wait until my son goes to bed, grab a beer and get going. I really hope my wife goes to bed soon after because she doesn't like to watch me play baseball, so she is always throwing me dirty looks and making little comments. Usually she only last 10 or 15 minutes and she goes in the bedroom.

I either listen to music or a podcast while I play. I rarely listen to the game audio.

Its really weird as I starting dipping in college playing baseball.
Well I dipped alot until about 2 or 3 years ago.
Now the only time i get an urge for it is when i play the show.
Bought my first can in months when the game came out this year.

I know exactly what you mean. It's been over three months cold turkey and I have no problems avoiding it now. But, I still sometimes get a brief craving when I fire up The Show... just takes me a second to tell myself, "No, I don't do that anymore."

I'm a college student living in a small apartment. I have a TV and my desktop monitor in my bedroom so I usually have the TV on while I play on the monitor. Could be a sports game or something misc like Family Guy. I tend to not play the show while any of my teams are playing since I get too distracted but if it's a nationally televised game I'll have it on. For 12 it's mostly been TNT basketball on Thurs/Fri or ESPN basketball. Might put the NCAA tourney on while I play starting tomorrow.

Forgot two very important parts! Usually I'll have an adult beverage of some sort, either an IPA or some whiskey. Also smoke my hookah at times. MLB 12 is great for smoking hookah since I can take a few drags while a cutscene plays, a drag in between pitches, etc. Other games are too fast paced to do this. It's really really relaxing.
